Nissan 370z

I have a '07 350z for a while now and i love the car. While not a 370z, its pretty much the same thing but the 370z is better in every way.

What are your concerns? My 350 is my street car and has been very reliable. It has seen some track days as well.

I dont know if the 370z's fixed this so it might be something to look out for when test driving one.

The one thing that i don't like about my 350z is that the throttle plates dont snap shut when jumping off the throttle. The drive-by-wire system has some sort of logic built in to smoothly transition from on-to-off throttle. The problem with this is that it significantly slows down shifting as you wait for the rpms to reduce so they are matched to the next gear. In the 350z's, is bad enough that if i try to shift quickly - like in a racing situation - i can get some grinding when going into the next gear because the synchros cant match the large RPM disparity quick enough.

This is the most annoying thing with the car...

I had the opportunity to do some suspension and exhaust work on one. Pretty simple car to work on. Driving it at the track, the rev match is amazing. It makes everyone look brilliant at heel toe with no effort on the drivers part. I liked the car.

The 370Z is a great car. My neighbors 370 has headers, custom exhaust and a remapped ECU. Sounds fantastic and goes like stink! I've driven it several times and the handling is pretty good for what it is. Very comfortable and reliable street car for sure.
