Dropped by the house of a friend after a morning cruise in. It was the first time I had visited his house. He insisted on getting some shots of the cars together. I find it amazing at the difference in size of our cars compared to known models of cars that are thought to be small!!

Bill, I was on a 3 day road trip with mine last weekend in Colorado to Grand Lake, Rocky Mountain National Park, and Eagle for the air show. I remembered your "Perspective" post so I had to take the shot. By chance, I ended up parked between a Viper and Cobra at the hotel so it was a great time to take a shot for the forum members...

Kinda like seeing a movie star in real life, seeing them on the big screen your view of them is bigger than life yet surprisingly normal in person......the GT40's history is 'bigger that life' and seeing them in person your expecting a larger vehicle, never the less in person they command a huge emotion.

Double nostril, I had to mag it 300% to see myself, offset white stripe distorts it as well.

I used to think my 40 was low but the 917 knocks another 4 1/2 inches of it, but next to this I feel completely dwarfed.

I remember driving the GT40 up Michigan Ave in Chicago, got stopped at a light. A Lotus Elise pulled up, rolled down his mirror (I opened my door) and he commented that he has never had to look down at someone before. Was pretty cool.. small cars indeed

These fabulous cars (40's, 917's, P4's T 70's etc,) make me feel just that much more joy at being 5'8" with my heels on! I can't tell you how many (tall) folks told me they would love to feel the passion of driving a GT40 but they knew they wouldn't fit due to their height or err, width. +1 for us small guys.
