Very nice Paul, thanks for posting those. I would have loved to have come, but I am planning on it next year. I really enjoyed the Speed festival with you and Rodger, that was the best festival I've ever been to dealing with cars etc., I can only imagine the Revival is better.

Thanks Ron, once complete - I'll pop a DVD over to you - also has a number of XJ13 pics that might be of use for your build (as and when)... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif lowres sample below.

Paul,

Thanks for posting these pictures. Very nice work! Must have been one heck of a good time. The picture of the Thunderbolt by itself is just beautiful.

Hopefully you saw Speed TV people at this event and they will be broadcasting it here in the States very soon. I know they have in past years.

Do you know who owns the # 13 Shelby Coupe?

I did notice a crew taking camera equipment out of one of the GT40's after the race. Any idea who might be airing that?

Mark

Oh, I should add, I purchased a GT40 at the revival. Regrettably it was only a very nice scale model.

Paul, the Jag pics would be really cool! I'm collecting parts, but still nowhere near building one yet. Not sure the SportsCar factory is shipping any yet either, so it is a standoff!

Hi Murray,
Thanks re the pictures... I use a Canon EOS 300D (The early one - silver body). I have an EOS 650 for 35mm film and the lenses fit the 300 a treat.

I would have preferred a 10D but it was a bit too pricey at the time... If I were buying now, I would probably go for a 20D, very nice...

There is also a new Canon Eos SLR now - a 350D I think, takes good pics, black bodied and 8Mega-Pixel...good value. It takes the standard EOS Autofocus lenses I think, but it is slightly smaller than most 35mm film SLRs, so you might want to visit a shop and try it for size,,, then find it on the web - cheap!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The 350 is an excelent buy if ou are going through an airport. Dixons at STansted were offering it for 510 plus 2 lenses; the cheapest I've seen it on the web is 599 with only 1 lense.
