Run and Gun is only 10 days away!

Yes that is right and it is hard to believe but Run and Gun is only 10 days away. Who is going from here? It is going to be a huge event this year with many of the major kit manufactures represented. If you are on the fence about a GT40 or own a GT40. jump on a plane and come to St. Louis. They will all be there. We have scheduled cruises and build seminars as well as autocross, road racing and drag racing for every skill level. This is a fantistic family event.

If I can help with any questions, just let me know.

Why is it called "Run and Gun"? I can see naming an IPSC match Run and Gun.

From Merriam-Webster's dictionary:

run-and-gun
One entry found.

Main Entry: run–and–gun
Function: adjective
Date: 1977

: relating to or being a fast, freewheeling style of play in basketball that de-emphasizes set plays and defense

(Ain't Google a wonderful thing?)

I may be wrong in saying this but I never see the Run and Gun results listed in magizines or their home page by anything other than the drivers. Its great that they get the credit but I am a little more interested in what cars did well. Is there a place to find this that I have over looked?

Coming up with a summary of the event, along with some tracktimes/results isn't really that hard to do - especially if you're already there. All you have to do is raise your eyes now and again and make a mental note of what's going on. It would be easy enough to build a story just based on emails from a few different sources describing some of the happenings. As for pics, there's bound to be a healthy handful of photos taken by different participants of the event.

Dean... without intending to drop this at your feet, is there a chance you could come up with a couple of volunteers? I'll be happy to help blend comments from various sources into one story but that raw material has to come from somewhere (it would be nice to see some new names investing their time instead of the same few which seem to do far more than their share of the work).

Sure wish I could be there in person (maybe next year),

I did read the article in Kit Car and got alot of great pics and action shots and summary of events then read more on runngun.net about the 2007 event with all the classes, winners, times and so on but it still has never give me what types of cars did what. I see Mongoose's site say's they were the over all winner. I guess one could google each driver and see if they have ever had a build log and what they built, but that seems a little more than I want to do.
