speedo cable question

I may have already asked this (and if so, remind me and forgive me), but can anyone recommend a shop which could make up a cable to connect the ZF transaxle on the one end and my Smiths speedometer on the other? I'm wondering where I am going to find this item.

A good question. I bought a Stewart Warner speedo for the Lola and need to mate it to a 930 tranny. I imagine the source is going to be similar for either one.

I will have the same dilemma but Hugh Absolem, who has my car in his workshop, is the man behind Spot-on-Control Cables Ltd and he didn't seem to think it would be a problem. I'll be going over later this week and ask the question again and if it's still
no problem I'll let you know. If it is a problem and you manage to find one, let me know as well.

Jim,

Aren't SPF using ZF and Smiths in most cases? In my car I bought the 90 degree Smiths adapter and the Olthoff ZF recalibrator and the cable ws included with the car. I think Olthoff or SPF can supply the cable for you.

These guys built a custom Audi to Vintage gauges cable for me. It was about $75. Call them as they had a bunch of termination options.
