Stolen race car trailer.

Peter Ransom, owner of DRB had his race car trailer stolen last Monday,
the story and photos of the trailer are below.
I ask that the Aussie and Kiwi members of the forum keep a look out for it and email your friends. If spotted P.M. me or contact the police.

My large 7 m long tandem car trailer, photos attached, was stolen from the factory security car park on Monday night 16 Nov 2009 between 8.00 pm and 6.00 am Tuesday. Not only did the thieves cut the chains on the gates and tow hitch lock, they re-wired the 7 pin trailer plug.

The trailer (695QOG) painted dark grey with white wheels, has a 5 m x 2 m full steel chequer plate tilting deck, four wheel electric brakes with breakaway battery controlled safety system and spare trailer wheel on front left. <o></o>

A wheel rack is mounted on the draw bar with an aluminium aero front panel. These items are bolted to the draw bar and may have been removed as they make the trailer very identifiable.<o></o>

Please keep an eye out, however the Police think that it has probably been sold in NSW by now.<o></o>

I sold my airplane to an Aussie (John White), he flew over (first trip to the USA) to help me take it apart and put into a container. We live in the country and he seen a 30 foot goose neck flat bed for sale and asked me to pull over. He got out of the car and looked at the price of $3000 USA and said he was in the wrong business, they are very expensive in Australia and that same trailer would bring $10,000. Also dually trucks are expensive, $100,000 for a used ford diesel converted. We don't know how good we got it here in the USA till someone like him comes to visit. Hope this person can find his trialer, I had mine stollen years ago so I know how he feels.

I am pleased to say that Tracy T has helped tremendously with this and a certain "gentleman" is helping police with their inquiries. The trailer has not been recovered yet, but police are confident it will be.
