Sunset &Vine, the TV company in charge of the Ashes series had almost decided to use Racemet but the M.C.C. stepped in and objected. That was
about 10 years ago but now every ground that hosts The Ashes has to have
a rain radar in the main offices. Strange ? Some one sold them about 8 radars
instead of the one system I could have had going around the grounds.
In answer to your question, I haven't really looked specifically at Edgbaston and though there are a few isolated showers over Ireland on www.meteox.com , the day has dawned with 8/8 blue skies in the Southern areas where I live.
I think a victory to England is inevitable and I look forward to the next one at Trent Bridge as well.
The Aussie's have bet on themselves at Trent Bridge and will bounce back with a magnificent win..
It was good to see the Queen and all her Beefeaters in the crowd, along with several Warnies.
Nice win chaps congratulations.
"bounce back with a magnificent win". Jeez - I hope so as this is getting a bit
monotonous. I just looked at Monday tickets for Trent Bridge - even on Monday you would need to take out a mortgage.
Let's hope for a miracle.
All out for 60! S. Broad 8-15! The word "collapse" just doesn't fit as a proper description. Not getting ahead of myself here though as this is England we're talking about. WOW!
Oh dear worst batting collapse since 1936, highest score was sundries. Already the Aussie press are baying for Pup's head.
Victory seems certain now David.
They just finished, England retained the Ashes and I owe David a case of Champers. PM me your address David and I'll arrange delivery.
Well done Chaps a shame we couldn't give you a bigger challenge.
