I've seen more than one source state that a 302W based manifold with spacers sitting on a 351W block will flow better than a 351W manifold. This is based on factory units that had to squash the 351W manifold runners to fit under the hood. I would hope that aftermarket 351W manifolds do not suffer the same problem, but, then again, they also typically are designed to fit under the hood.
