After picking up the car from the painter a lot of detailed work has had to be done to get it ready for the first official presentation.
- realigning the bodywork
- painting the black frames on the plexiglas
- installing the lights front and rear
- installing the plexiglas
- adapting the exhaust to fit to the G50
- installing shifter and making it work
- installing DZUS fasteners and Hartwell latches
- installing door boxes
- installing dash vent grill
- installing al weatherstriping
- installing doorhandels and door striker plates ( now 1,5 mm stainless steel) and porsche latches
-installing the satin black powdercoated 9 hole grills
- over all cleanup and finsihing
I worked pretty hard and late but achieved my goal to have the car in a pretty nice condition for presenting it at the biggest bavarian vintage car festival ( more in the RCR section)
Some pics for you about the current stage.
can you detect the turnsignal lights ?
we notched the bottom of the silencer to clear the g50 and changed the angle of the outlet pipes to clear the rear clip.
