Top gear christmas special

What a total inept farce ! just shows how much money the BBC can throw at three guys on a boys out road trip, and how farcical it all is behind the cameras

Absolutely Frank. So much so, Clarkson and his two cronies are banned in this household. James May used to drink in the Crossed Keys on Black Lion Lane in Hammersmith W6 so drop by and tell him how crap the program is or leave him a note behind the bar. His home is just a short walk along the lane and around one corner.

In it's current format, Top Gear has been going 14 years. On the principal that there are supposed to be only 3 basic type of joke, Top Gear has repeated the same jokes over 156 times. No wonder it isn't funny anymore.

As for the H982 FKL number plate farrago, do they really think we are that stupid?

Time to take a break.

That show used to be entertaining but that was years ago. Time for it to retire.

If you really want to see some crap try watching the US version.

I am totally in agreement. The number plate was unbelievably moronic - Falklands in 1982. Really!
My word for the way this "show" has gone is CRASS.
Cheers

Three guys on a jolly on their own - with 39 support vehicles and over 100 support people, then they hide in the hotel while those vehicles and crew get chased by the mob !

+1 on both points...especially the latter. ('Have tried to watch it twice...'couldn't make it past the first few minutes either time.)

Here we have a classic example of a show which once used to be an informative, entertaining and sometimes funny show being Dumbed down to appeal to the masses in the pursuit of ratings. The same thing has happened with NASCAR and V8 Supercars and to a slightly lesser degree F1.

Agree part 2 was an improvement. Really interesting expose in the fracas - the support crew of "over 40 people". That's one heck of a logistics effort.

Disgraceful scenes from a few (hundred) right wing zealots though..

But probably one of the biggest earners the BBC has so allowing us all to watch the other programs we love and to enjoy the high quality production of BBC programs generally.

So it went wrong and you didn't like it. Get over it! A lot of you are sounding so bl**dy miserable (and worse) on this forum now, and not just in this post. Bunch of grumpy old gits. Someone ought to come and take all your teeth away!
