Vintage Air - Heater Core question...

Stupid question here, but noticed that the heater core is VERY close to the passenger footwell.

I removed the AC/heater unit and bent the heater core tubes a bit to make some room for the heater lines...

My question is... I'm assuming this is normal procedure to bend them a bit to make them fit the crevice? It is smart to install the heater/AC lines BEFORE installing the AC/heater unit?

Gracias amigos,

The lines can be placed after the install. I would check out Allan's videos. They are really helpful. I will take a few pics tonight and post later.

My heater core lines were touching the tub, so install after the fact wouldn't have worked.

I've watched Allan's videos but didn't really address this question.

The AC lines most likely can be installed afterwards, getting a wrench up in there might be a challenge.

My unit looks slightly different than Allan's in his videos.
