I’d take anything Principia Scientific International says with a pinch of salt Pete. They are a group of climate change deniers with a particular agenda. If you read the NASA report it does not say that CO2 cools the atmosphere. Rather, it is talking about a particular event (a solar flare) and it says that “Carbon dioxide and nitric oxide are natural thermostats,” and “When the upper atmosphere (or ‘thermosphere’) heats up [as in when the energy from a solar flare hits us], these molecules try as hard as they can to shed that heat back into space.” – something that has been known for quite some time.

Absolutely agree Larry - there are extremes on both sides. For the most part however, scientists are just plain honest folk with a genuine interest in trying to figure out what is going on around us.

People have lost jobs in the C.S.I.R.O for not toeing the Government line.

Scientists also follow the data and rarely consider the research to have reached its conclusion. The more you learn, the more you discover there is to be learnt. Reasearch is most often, never ending. It tends to be Political types that enjoy taking research data and using it to make policy, stating it as fact to the great uneducmacted such as us. And I do mean US!

The NASA findings were reported by more than Principia Scientific, a google search will show many more, or you can go to the NASA site and read their report direct.

 

Lots of hearsay and misinterpretation going on in Google articles Pete, which is why quoted directly from the NASA article.

Also, NASA is now a Muslim outreach program of the U.S. Government. Science plays second fiddle to politics with the current regime, and just like the two Climategate scandals, truth has nothing to do with it.
