More Global Cooling/Warming/Change hoax.

But Bob, we shouldn't expect a pair of Jeans to cost a fiver, should we? Or a TV for just a couple of hundred.

I have never paid that much for a pair of jeans:) If we shot the union leaders and all the nimbys , then sorted out the councils to knock on the head the crazy amounts of tax they apply to industrial units we would then attracting investment to put industry back in this country. We would also be a lot closer than we are now from not being reliant on the yellow peril. Put industry back in the uk and more importantly in and around where the working population live. Then back the buy british campaign, now that would be green and good for the atmosphere in more ways than one.

Actually, I have never bought a pair if jeans, ever. They are just too....too......er, too, pretentious for me personally.

I think the moment that someone said (probably in the '60's) without a hint of irony I must add, "I like to show my rebellious individuality by wearing blue jeans" was it for me. When I had finished breaking most of my ribs laughing at such nonsenseI resolved never to buy or wear such cutting edge individualism ever, and I have been absolutely true to my promise.

So I must apologise for denying one little old man his bowlfuls of rice.

In order to regain industrial competitiveness, there´s more to it than just shooting union leaders etc. (BTW we have quite strong unions over here and our economy´s state is said to be not too bad). Putting industry back in the UK would mean to attract forein companies to invest so that they can compete with UK-made products on the world markets. To enable that, world class infrastructure and a world class know how base are essential (read: huge investments). "Buy british" won´t be sufficient. I personally would love to see UK industry returning to its former glory. Maybe one or two more car factories...

I will beg to differ on this, the UK would do well to sever the umbilical cord to europe (including the tunnel) and start to feed, clothe and manufacture for the home market. Small acorns would grow without the need for massive investment but they would need a break from the financial /red tape/bullshit/union/h&s bombing that small business currently has to endure. We cannot compete in big industry here because we pay over the top for everything . Germany regard the UK as Golden Island because they can charge more for their products here than anywhere else in the world. We regard Mercedes here as an expensive high class car, the same thing is sold to India for a fraction of the money and used by the jingles as a taxi.

How does this work ?
I recently wanted some very large 3mm thick steel boxes made, I had a shop about and these boxes were going to cost me around £600 to have made. My manager got on the phone and that was pretty much it pricewise from all of what is left of the small fabrication shops around here, somewhere along the line a number was dropped on my desk so I made contact and the price was suddenly £180 per unit delivered. Just to make sure they were talking about the same spec I contacted them , they assured me that the price was right which incidentally was less than the material content let alone the folding ,welding ,painting and delivery so I placed an order. Boxes turned up and it turns out that they were made in Poland, now how does this make Europe a fair playing field for UK business when we are trying to compete for trade while being shafted for all of the basics like rent, rates, electricity, travel, materials like steel etc and then have to employ labour that are also paying over the top for everything they purchase?

I think I see your point now. To be perfectly honest: I don´t have an answer. Maybe the best you can say about the EU is that imposing all sorts of product- and social standards upon the member states aims at forcing the cheapos in the EU to increase their production costs. Even here, Anti-EU parties get more and more support.

So true Bob.

A Jag is cheaper in New York, than down the road in Coventry, where it was made. I don't care about what complex, monetary transfer rate index cow turd rationalisation, that a 'clever' bloke will use to explain it. It is crap, pure and simple.

Haven't you guys realized yet that government always knows what's best for all of us? What clearly appears to us 'commoners' as being imbecilic, irrational, and mindlessly incompetent is actually top shelf genius. The only reason we 'don't get it' is because we're so far beneath the political elites in the areas of brain power, logic and common sense. 'Sad but true.

So, you might wanna wise up a bit, guys.

It seems that our government is very similar to the one you suffer under in the U.k.

Larry, quite correct we do need to wise up and kick the buggars out of office.

Pete,

You Consevatives are incredably gullible!!!!!!

This article comes from the Daily Current, a publication that posts parody! You know what parody means, a parody is presenting fiction in a way that makes it appear to be a fact.

You know, like what Fox does.

This is starting to make sense, I wondered how anyone could believe the crap that trickles down from Bullshit Mountain, yet consevatives fall for it every time!

I wondered how Red State consevatives that complain the most about folks not paying taxes, are the ones that lead the nation in not paying taxes...........Now I know, they believe anything they are told.

I wondered how Red State Consevatives who want nothing more than ending wellfare and food stamps lead the nation in receiving welfare and food stamps..............Now I know, they believe anything thay are told.

I also wondered how anyone could be so stupid as the Red State Consevatives who virtually all take in more from the Government than they pay in taxes yet they are trying to cut those very taxes that they receive............Now I know, they believe anything they are told.

I wondered why Red State conservatives are so against Affordable Health Care, yet its Red States that have highest rate of uninsured.......oh yea, and they are not very smart!

Now I understand......................It seems most Conservites are gullible, not very smart or both.

Just today we have Larrys rediculous article about Obama making Marines wear girlie hats and now this!

Now I know that Pete and Larry are not stupid, so in this case it has to be gullible. The people they trust for information have proven time and again to not be trustworthy, yet they continue to trust and believe them..............Who would do that?

***********

Guys, here is a hint, if you see an attack on liberals that is so perfect that you feel compelled to post it here......................DON'T.

It's undoubtedly not true!
