I've never heard a plan, plausible or otherwise to deal with this "supposed threat". All I've heard was taxing the hell out of everyone. Why aren't they going after China, India etc. for all of the pollution they cause. We can peddle our asses everywhere on bicycles, and Asia will negate anything we do.

Exactly, China, India and most of Asia, the great polluters ignored by the IPCC and the UN.

So you admit Jim that Al Gore is a liar? And tells lies to increase his wealth?[/QUOT

Pete,

What I am saying is exactly what I have always said....

No mater what anyone says, I have yet to see positive proof of why things are changing.

Yet there are folks like Al Gore, Fox News and you who ignore data that does not prove their view.

They are the worst kind if liers, deliberately trying to mislead those looking for answers.

They have no interest in what is actually happening, only in making their view appear true.

Keith,

I thought English was your first language.

I not only called Al Gore a lier, I also called Fox News liers and anyone here who ignores data that does not support their agenda.

They are all liers through omission!

Keith, let me know if you need me to explain again what I said!

No Keith, what I got was the typical spin of a rabid socialist.
Although like the socialists change from Global warming to climate change Jim is now saying that he is not sure if man is the culprit. He is also trying to divert me by insulting me, calling me a liar and by likening me to Al Gore and Fox news.
All of which are well known diversionary tactics. If you are losing the debate insult the other side. Not good tactics really as most thinking people see through them.

Jim, there is equally as much data on both sides, in the beginning of the Global Warming, data was proved to have been fabricated by Warming proponents in the scientific field. You make it sound as if it's a proven fact, it's not, it's still theory. Now Global Warming has been changed to Climate Change so no matter what happens you can go ahhh, Climate Change.

Al,

Did you even read what I wrote?

I posted these words, "No mater what anyone says, I have yet to see positive proof"....

What did you think I meant by that?

Does that make it sound like I am certain one way or another?

Al your answer to that was that..... "You make it sound as if it's a proven fact, it's not, it's still theory".

Al, I having a hard time understanding what you mean by that?

So Pete pointing out that you are addressing the issues in exactly the same way as Fox News and Al Gore is an "insult"?

Pointing this out is a "diversionary tactic"?

Jim, read the above quote again, you are calling me along with Al Gore and Fox News "the worst kind of liar" I find that insulting.

Pete,

What do you think of the way Mr Gore goes at this issue?

He cherry picks data, articles and reports that show data the way he thinks it should be, ignoring any contrary viewpoints.

Then he takes advantage of the available "media" to get the word out to all that he can get to listen.....Often mocking anyone who contridicts his view.

Pete, truthfully, what do you think of the way Mr Gore presents his case?

Which politician doesn't 'cherry pick' data to support their case?

Show me a truly balanced news story from any main stream media.

Which scientists report doesn't present their dissertation in a way that promotes their 'findings' whilst burying the contrary news a little deeper?

It just doesn't happen.

They've all got an angle and the prize is $$$$$.

You are arguing semantics not issues.

Jim in post #1083 not too far back I asked you this. "So you admit Jim that Al Gore is a liar? And tells lies to increase his wealth?"
It is a very simple question and could be answered yes or no. But you still have not answered it.

I find it odd that fossil fuel is spoken of so often and no one ever speaks about the deforestation and burning of rainforest, to make pasture, to raise cattle, to stuff our faces at McDonalds. Other than causing huge carbon emissions, they are doing away the trees (they don't even harvest the exotic woods, they burn them) that transform CO2 into oxygen. Fucking brilliant!

Al, I posted this a couple of pages back but no-one picked up on it. Read it and learn how Germany is legally (according to 'carbon rules') starting to mine dirty (brown) coal (Lignite) again to power it's new generation of fossil fuelled power stations completely within the stated carbon tax rulings.

So because of the inefficiency of the EU they can drive a coach & four through all the legislation and burn it like China, while the rest of us go hug trees and save whales.

Ridiculous!
