More Global Cooling/Warming/Change hoax.

There are two sides to this debate.
One side has falsified reports, sacked scientists who disagree with their computer models,
or removed their research grants or both.
One side has massive cocktail parties called a conference and flies big polluting aircraft from all over the world to the venue of choice, when they could do it by teleconference.
One side makes a movie that says the ice caps will disappear by the year 2012, when inconveniently they don't they say that global warming has caused the ice to increase??? The same movie a U.K. Judge called a tissue of lies and falsehoods and banned it from being shown in schools.
One side says that 97% of scientists agree, that subsequently is proven to be another falsehood.
The man who made the movie makes millions out of his carbon trading companies.

The other side says the earth has been around for billions of years in comparison man has been around for a millisecond, how arrogant to think you can alter the climate.
It says by all means take steps to stop pollution, but carbon is not a pollutant so don't tax it.

Pete,

The problem here is obvious, you think this is a debate...

You think if you can convince people that we are not rapidly warming, that the warming will stop.

People on both sides have lied, why do you only point out one sides lies? Oh yea, you think this is a debate...

You don't care about finding out what's really happening, only winning a debate...

Pete, this is our future...

One hundred years from now your ancestors may curse you!

One hundred years from now I won't give a shit who curses me. In fact I don't give a shit now, curse away.
You are right it is not a debate, nor is it science,it is people and governments who have found a way to gather wealth by fleecing the sheeple to stupid to think for themselves.

So Pete,

In your opinion everything is just fine, we do not need to take any steps to limit warming and anyone who says we do is a lier, paid off or stupid?

You see no problem in your lifetime and don't care about anything after that...

Pete, correct me if I'm wrong, but that appears to be your stand on this issue.

More Deniers spew their evil propaganda from the bowls of the Evil Empire!!!

"Naturally occurring changes in winds, not human-caused climate change, are responsible for most of the warming on land and in the sea along the West Coast of North America over the last century, a study has found.

The analysis challenges assumptions that the buildup of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere has been a significant driver of the increase in temperatures observed over many decades in the ocean and along the coastline from Alaska to California.

Changes in ocean circulation as a result of weaker winds were the main cause of about 1 degree Fahrenheit of warming in the northeast Pacific Ocean and nearby coastal land between 1900 and 2012, according to the analysis of ocean and air temperatures over that time. The study, conducted by researchers from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the University of Washington, was published Monday by the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences."

You are totally wrong, I have said many times that we should take steps to stop polluting the planet, I have also said that carbon is not a pollutant, without it we would all perish. You are the ace twister of words and a master of turning what one says to suit your agenda. I said I didn't give a shit if someone cursed me now or in the future for my opinion, not I don't care about the future.
I do think that you are being led by the nose by Al Gore the IPCC and their ilk and your political Agenda.
Btw what is your comment on Bobs post that I note you are ignoring?

Uh...Jim?...'Hate to break it to you (again), but, warming HAS stopped for the last 17 years. China and India are puking out more polutants than ever...and "warming" has stopped. Imagine that.

I know, I know...it's stopped because of global warming. :squint:

I gotta take a breather from this...:rolleyes2:

Pete, read my post again, we are not talking about pollution, everyone is against pollution.

You say I twist words, yet you changed "warming" into "pollution".

My post talked about doing something about "warming", I understand you think this is not a problem.

How is this any different than any other issue in the news today (Wall Street as a simple example). Perhaps the fact that you (or I for that matter) are not making the obscene wealth from any number of these issues that "fleece" us on a daily basis is a better indicator in determining it's a hoax or fact.

Terry I find that statement totally obnoxious and out of order. I have never thought that way and hopefully never will.

Jim you and your cronies say that global warming is caused by man made POLLUTION! Good attempt old son but it didn't work.
Actually I take that back it was a fairly mediocre attempt.

Sorry about that Pete. Perhaps not you, but I don't think it's too much off the mark for some folks. I remember a manager at the local paper mill that would remark that when he inhaled the god-awful smell of the plant he worked at, it reminded him of "bacon and eggs". The point being, it was his money-maker, and hence, the putrid smell was almost pleasing to him, as compared to his companion's interpretation (who didn't work at the plant) of the air quality. Objectivity in that case was completely gone simply because of the financial relationship.

If I live another 50 years, the temp will be 3 deg higher. BFD. I will get a better AC system. For all you Yutzes know we have moved closer to the sun. Science today is the method of being paid to validate theory. In medicine, to cure this or that and people then pay for the product. but if the theory is weak, it allows more money to be spent on grants and probes to compound the validation to justify more money being spent. If politicians see a possible monetary gain they will spin to generate money in their pockets. IE Carbon tax. Certainly not the answer to the problem but a way to make money.

A paper mill used to be located almost directly beside a stretch of I-5 in Everett, Washington. "God-awful" and "putrid" fall a bit short of describing the pungent sulfur stench it generated IMHO. It was S.O.P. for those who knew the area to roll up their car's windows, shut off the HVAC, and f-l-y past the offending area as fast as possible when on-shore winds carried the stench over the freeway (a fact that wasn't at all lost on Washington State Patrol's 'radar units' in those days either. The plant was a "money maker" in more ways than one). The stench would actually leave an after-taste in one's mouth for several minutes after having driven through the area, believe it or not. How anyone could reside in Everett back in those days is beyond me.

Compared to paper mills in operation back then, today's coal-fired power plants produce NO emissions whatsoever.
