Many Many years ago, I had a need for (6) 24 foot long 2X8's. Being I only lived abot 2 miles from the lumber company I did something much more stupid. At the time, I only had a old 2 door Buick Electra. I put the 2X8's on the roof and laid across them, with my buddy driving. It was fine until we picked up some speed and they tried to helicopter. I was scared shitless. The lesson I learned is to only use a 4 door if picking up long lengths of lumber.
