My father in law worked on the ITER project for years aswel on JET in the UK (Oxford) and CERN at the FOM institute in Holland.
ITER is an expirimental Tokamak reactor.
"If" a Tokamak reactor is the green energy answer.
It will take decenia or more before Tokamak reactors will suply energy to the world population.
I always found it very interesting stuff.
Tokamak reactors require loads of lithium, where there already is a shortage of lithium as EV's (cars motorbike bycycles kicksteps etc) and even tool batterys all have lithium battery packs. Thats interesting for future Tokamak reactors.
In my opinion, to reach a goal, you'll need to experiment. Experiments can lead by its outcommings to a total change of plans. ITER is still an experment. But promising.
