As we all know, Harley-Davidson is currently in negotiations with VW to take over Ducati.
In anticipation of things to come, Ducati´s R&D have designed a new model, the Route 66 Edition:

That´s Harley´s bottom of the range entry model made in India

It sure gets around corners but to my knowledge there are quality issues...

I'm not sure calling the model "Access Denied" will do anything for sales either, or is it the in-built Indian sense of Karma?

:coolgleam:
That is daft!
When I posted it was a web link and it said Harley Davidson 750 or similar.
No idea where access denied comes from!

A friend in Spain just bought an immaculate Benelli 900 Sei. They only made 1800 of them over a 12-year run. Super piece of 1980s exotica!

That must be very rare as I had never heard of that displacement in the SEI.
I thought the largest they made was a 750!

The sweet sound of my old Honda CBX 1000 comes to mind...

Wikipedia to the rescue!
Benelli Sei - Wikipedia

Yup--there is a Pantera connection. My friend owns the very first GT5-S Pantera, the 1985 prototype. The De Tomaso connection is what drew him to the Benelli.

I believe the 750 engine is literally a reverse-engineered Honda 500-4 with two cylinders grafted on, and parts interchange between them (could be wrong on that). The 900 is a bored and stroked update.

Check out YouTube videos--some people will build retro 1960's style cafe racers with single seats, drum brakes etc. they look and sound fantastic!

A bit of Motorcycle Porn:

Yesterday Ducati ended its V2 era for roadlegal superbikes by introducing the new Panigale V4:
