Continued support

While I have been working on my SL-C for sometime, it is an unusual build as I have not exactly followed the standard receipe of
Ricardo/LS7 (or LS3) combination. The LS1/930LSD has presented some unique challenges. Nothing really difficult, but alternate solutions for things like a TAC Module interface between the accelerator pedal and ECU, different pedal arrangement altogether, completely different fuel rails, waterpump interferences, etc.
I simply wish to thank Fran for his continued support, the free, unsoliticed
product improvement parts, and his availability to answer technical questions when needed. Believe it or not, Fran does return calls as he can get to them. Anyway, thanks Fran and the guys & gal at RCR!
The SL-C is a dream come true..I'm having a ball.

That's right- the early adopters are being kept up to date with things like the alloy rockers, and updated parts.

Doesn't happen everywhere, and I think it's great!

Haven't needed to call much, but Fran and the gang are there when needed. I know how hard it is to be there for every customer, and we builders are all better off, for it.

Great job, Fran!

Fran's participation here, interaction with builders of his cars and his support are key reasons I made the decision to purchase my car from RCR.

The very fact that he is so flexible to work with all his customers to help make their SuperCar dreams come true on their own terms is, from what I can tell, unique in the industry..

Yes, we all <3 Fran very much.

He's got a customer for life with me .... as long as he doesn't start blocking my phone number from my numerous calls per week

I'd like to thank Fran and the folks at RCR. Plus i'd like to thanks you Jack! Plus all the guys on the forum are great. taking time out to make measurements, send jpegs, etc.

Banned because I can't follow the forum rules.
i can honestly say that Fran always returned my calls and answered emails.
What i can also say is that many of the finishing parts are non developed or underdeveloped or untested or non world regional compliant ........so it must be in everyones SLC interest to keep everyone else in the loop.

keep going everyone and looking forward to the first SLC finished build pictures.

regards

Guys, can I be fair and balanced here and say, Fran has yet to return my calls or voice mail, or emails during the July-August '09 timeframe? No big issues, just a few preliminary questions, but I have since given up...and in the future will rely on this forum with any questions or comments I may have regarding my RCR GT-40 build.

That being said, I'm sure Fran is a cool guy, but was just not that supportive from my point of view.

Did you call the shop?...586-329-1573

I spend most of my day on the phone...or replying to emails.

edit...just checked back through my old emails under "Cobrajet" and I sent return emails to you on 8/12, 8/17, 8/19 and 9/01 with build manual info.

Last email I received was 9/01

Sorry if I missed any after that but thats all I show.

He Lives! Fran - I hope this means you're feeling better - just in time for your birthday.

Cobrajet - Nothing wrong with being fair and balanced. Sorry you've had challenges connecting up with Fran. I just can't identify with your experience - call the shop and talk to Vicki and ask her to have Fran give you a call back if he isn't immediately available. Fran has always responded to my calls and emails - extremely responsive based on my experience.

Best of luck with your RCR40.

Regards,
Dave L

As with everything...
some things slip through the cracks...emails/junkmail/spam etc ...
maybe Cobrajet did not receive my emails or I his....

Yeh...feeling better...lost my voice last weekend...gave my kids a rest from me telling them to clean their rooms....:lipsrsealed:

Just wanted to let everyone know Fran is a stand up guy. I've been traveling from VT back to CO today and made my first post while lay'd over in Cleveland. Well, by the time I landed in Denver, there was voice mail from Fran. I've since located at least one email in question from 9/1 and have forward it Fran for a response.

I'll keep this offline going forward and will follow-up in the morning with a call to Fran.

Thanks,
Tom
