You’ll want this, this is what I have.

Their main site as well, also known as “Bruno”.

The Prius may be the better option the more I research. If only I had done this the first time.

No ebay controller required, 3 wire hookup only and a failsafe mode.
so its at an assist level that cant be varied unless external frequency connected (eg slotted wheel on drive shat ? )

Be carefull, with the manufacturer that you will choose. 100$ is not the cost of your life. Do not forget that the device is an assistance to help you to drive your car, if it failed in a parking lot, no problem, but, what will happen if the assistance stops in a middle of a corner, on mountain road at a moment where you drive your GT40 like a with a sport attitude ?

point taken...
but as we all know... electronic and mechanical devices do fail from time to time.
Expensive does not necessary mean reliability...although it may help.

Do 25 pushups every morning. Live longer and save the money.............OR.

Would you prefer to have a button on your girls neckless that instantly removes all her cloths or take them off yourself.....one at a time? I enjoy the anticipation of the bra clasp................but then I'm old...............and I'm not what I call a "phone person"..................ya all get this line of though..........right?

Its a 60 year old racecar! ELECTRIC STEERING for gods sake! baaaaaaaaaaa humbug.

Just wait till they drive and want to stop quickly and realise no power brakes no abs etc. I must say I liked the heavy old time feel for both steering and brakes

It’s Electronic Power ASSISTED Steering. If it fails, they just don’t add any assistance. I have never heard of any of them that lock or present opposition force to the driver’s input. I suppose there’s a first time for everything, but the odds are certainly in the favor of the driver’s well being.
It really has nothing to do with the strength of the driver as to whether or not it’s necessary. It has everything to do with driver comfort and ease of low speed handling…
I will be adding EPAS to my 33 Ford StreetRod because it is a real bugger to park or negotiate a 3 point turn in my driveway..

I installed the Vue EPAS with the older variable controller (non-GPS). Not driving yet, but put the assist on a switch, will have in "Off" position other than low speed driving or casual driving. I agree with not trusting a system like this at speed.
I am running a lot of caster, 7-8 degrees for straight line stability and camber gain. High caster and wide tires make parking lot turning difficult. If you are running low caster, you probably do not need assisted steering.
You can see the assist with just spinning the hub. EPAS is activated by a switch so it's available on demand and can be disabled (ie highway cruising, track days). You can see me dialing down the assist, it's adjustable. Glad I made this mod. The EPAS is completely silent, all of the noise is the tires squeaking on the lift.
