David,
Thanks for your hospitality, Di and I really enjoyed catching up with you and your lads, a great night in Turbie, once again thanks.
Webber was stiff not to finish on the podium. The word is the heat from the exhaust pipes melted the wiring loom which caught fire. Apparently the same problem caused Rosberg's throttle to jam open causing him to stop.
If that is correct someone in Williams engineering should get a size 12 boot up the clacker, several times.
As far as MS is concerned the bastard is a cheat, simple as that. The stewards did not take the decision to send him to the back of the grid lightly but poured over the telemetry from the car for over seven and a half hours.

Pity of it is he is such a great driver that he need not do those sort of things
as his drive in the race showed. Maybe he was following the bosses orders?

"Maybe he was following the bosses orders?"

Oooh, Ouch Pete  Can you say that on here?

Funny though.....:D

Michael Schumacher is now, it seems, a movie star. In his movie debut, he is the voice of a car named "Ferrari" in the new animated film, Cars. :D

We ought to have a friendly "wager" on the result. It hasn't started yet so I'll attempt a prediction.

1. Michael Scumacher
2. Rubens Barichello
3. Phillipe Massa
4. Fernando Alonso (who am I kidding?)
5. JPM
6. David Coulthard.
7. Jenson Button
8. Mark Webber

The odds against this finish order are staggering so if I win, I expect large Paypal payments from all members.

Yeah Dave, I suppose I'm just at good as predictions as you are at changing your Avatar.:poke:

Seriously though, can't see Fernando being beat this year, no wonder Ron was smiling - he'll have a No. 1 on his car next year!.lol

Am I the only one who thought that this race was the biggest bore  so far this year? (thread back on track after 2 years and thousands of posts. How bad's that?)

My favourite Silverstone was 2002 or was it 2003? Rubens in the wet. Now that WAS a race.

Keith,
Now you're on the money - It wasn't that interesting really. How can I put this delicately - the opposition were found to be wanting..........
The kraut was in a class of his own - 2nd class.......
Just off to Le Mans. Thank Christ, my annual injection of reality racing and great people.
As far as big Ron and numbers on cars- he wont have the end garage, though
unless the penguin mounts a serious challenge.
Who will be where next year? Try another bet Keith !

merry-go-round

Here are a few ideas to ponder....
Heikki Kovalainen to Red Bull and Red Bull to use Renault power plants in 2007.
Kimi Raikonnen to Renault F1 to partner Fisi.
Schumacher will drag it out to the Brazilian Gp before he announces his decision.
Who will partner Alonso? maybe Lewis Hamilton?
And .... Damon Hill to drive DTM

Fact or Fiction?
