I have a CAV GT40 which is a great car and I am still making modifications, incl a larger engine (427 EFI).
I received my Ford GT (see "Birth" thread) and I think Ford did a great job in making it so close to the original. It is a Supercar, nothing else describes it. I recently had it at Walnut Creek Ford (CA)where the Ford specialist supervised the installation of superb new control arms and did a full pre-delivery checkup. Walnut Creek Ford and Ford know exactly how to treat an owner a "Supercar". They also fitted a plate-cam for me, so I can view behind when in reverse. That is a great asset, and I am fitting one to my GT40. The Ford GT is docile on the road or in heavy traffic, yet instantly can become a race car. Its a thrill and it hugs the corners. The car is everything claimed.
