re: Jimmymac & Alistair's Cars

Fran very kindly offered to supply us with door box interiors gratis but they got lost in shipping so we had to make our own and blend them in.

First one in paint.
Ermine White on and black recesses being applied this week.
A lovely colour in daylight.

James, good work, how striking that now looks with the black contrast, and expertly trailered, getting close to the finish now!

Jimmy,

I've been following this thread with interest for years. I note there are lots of fantastic detail photos of the various bits and bobs that are going into the making of this car, but no photos of the PEOPLE involved, including you.

How about showing us the very most interesting and important components of this project?

Well it's time to put some faces to the project.
Alistair is on the right, myself on the left and our mate from Colorado, Mike in the middle. (at Goodwood)

Thanks guys,
The other car is going through the same paint shop.
I dropped off a pair of C6FE heads just up the road from me to Mathwall last month for a rebuild with NOS parts. They confirmed that my 289 engine was built by them and it later had Gurney Weslake heads. The copies of the build data sheets which they gave me are very interesting.
A sweet touch indeed.
