"Goddard shows how, in recent years, NOAA’s US Historical Climatology Network (USHCN) has been “adjusting” its record by replacing real temperatures with data “fabricated” by computer models. The effect of this has been to downgrade earlier temperatures and to exaggerate those from recent decades, to give the impression that the Earth has been warming up much more than is justified by the actual data. In several posts headed “Data tampering at USHCN/GISS”, Goddard compares the currently published temperature graphs with those based only on temperatures measured at the time. These show that the US has actually been cooling since the Thirties, the hottest decade on record; whereas the latest graph, nearly half of it based on “fabricated” data, shows it to have been warming at a rate equivalent to more than 3 degrees centigrade per century."

Interesting yesterday Al Gore stood beside Clive Palmer an obese and very wealthy local politician, while Clive announced he would support the abolition of the carbon tax proposed by the Abbott government. Supposedly Palmer paid Gore $200,000 to appear at his press conference when he made the announcement.
Is Gore such a whore that he would accept such a payment for an announcement that puts the lie to everything he stands for, or was he duped?

This is exactly why they have changed it from Global Warming to Climate Change. WTF, cover all the bases.
Naaaaah...what they'll do is simply dismiss this 'record cold June in Antarctica' as not meaning anything in the global temp 'big picture'. Ditto regarding the whole nasty, cold-weather-record-setting winter that darned near the whole world went through a couple months ago.
They even make the same sort of claim with regard to the HALT in 'warming' over the past 17 years or so.
I STILL wanna know what happened to the new ICE AGE we were supposed to be entering back in the '70s.

...while here in the U.S., Emperior Oblahblah is trying hard to, in effect, implement it by EDICT/DECREE/"EXECUTIVE ORDER" (read that "EPA regs").

Geeez, now they want to replace beef, this is going a bit fucking far! Medium rare chicken? I think not.
It can only be matter of time before the 'greenies' decide that we ourselves be to forced to pay a carbon emissions tax on our own 'gas emissions' (probably based on our individual body weight/height)...and they'll accomplish that through the EPA via an EPA regulation/edict - not thru an act of congress as the constitution demands.
That outfit (EPA) is a govt within a govt...a dictatorship...accountable to NO ONE...whose edicts have the power of law. It should be completely defunded immediately, totally disbanded A.S.A.P., and replaced by an accountable body per the constitution - if it's replaced at all.

Not disputing the data Bob, but if I used a Y-axis that big to plot my age over the same timeframe, it looks like I've hardly aged at all.... I wish.
If we look at your graph with a more relevant Y-axis, remembering a couple of degrees is all that is needed to induce big changes, yep, there's that pesky warming trend....

...which would seem to validate what so many have been trying to tell Al Gore 'n' his disciples for years, namely that the Earth regulates its own temps.
Remembr how cold it was last winter? The "prediction" is it's going to be just as cold or colder THIS year.
So, the Earth evidently 'sensed' the "Ice Age" we were supposedly entering back in the 1970s, 'supposedly turned on its 'furnace' for a while over the past few decades, and now has evidently activated its A/C to level things off a bit. IOW, the Earth is doing what the automatic climate control system in the average CAR does all the time. Only diff is we don't really know how the Earth's HVAC system works.
So, no matter what excuse the "warmers" come up with and trot out in their attempt to "explain" why/how the cooling we're supposedly seeing is actually proof that global WARMING is happening, it's gunna be a hard sell in the 'logic' department. Well, for most people anyway...
