Now THAT'S what I call a garage!

You can tell no work is accutaly done in those garages. More like storage areas.

This thing ciruclated on some emails last week, but you are exactly right in my opinion. I much prefer the garage that has the "worked in" look - and yeah, I'm not biased at all! :)

in truth, looking at this thread gets boring after a while. I've been around lots of excess in my job, and nothing surprises me any more.

Ron,
You got that right. More like big toy boxes with maid service. I spend just as much time cleaning up as I do working in my shoebox.

Rick,

Thats EXACTLY how I felt. The first few are WOW... but then it pales very quickly. The cars in these pictures are (probably) pampered pussycats that rarely ever see over 4,000 RPM... and if that's the case, then it is a shame. Maybe that's an over generalisation, but those garages look far too clean to me...

Graham.

these links really make me dream.

Is true money power. I cannot deny..I love such places (as well as the houses. Too nice ones..)

Just I dont understand why this people has soo good taste in italian cars, and soo ugly taste in kitchens.
here nobody will NEVER prepare any food in places as that ones, and it is very strange, cause italians in house fornitures are much more wellknown worldwide than our red cars....

Not kitchens Paulo but wet bars - in the "garage" so they can suck on their tinnies whilst watching Nascar...:chug:

I like the artwork....how much is enough? I have large gieclees from FORD archival and some prints from automotive artist (60s, SHELBY, FORD, and COBRAs). A little neon, posters, autoban signs, Ferrari flags, F1, aircraft pictures, complete UH1 dash, and the typical garage calender. But the artwork is my weakness, and I need more wall space. After all it is my space. What do you guys have hanging?

Grady, with all that automotive porn, nothing is hanging ;-) As Clarkson would say, just off to the bathroom for a minute. When I get round to it and properly waterproof my garage I will put up archive photos of the race cars and a tin advert I recently bought, plus a few shots of my own cars, just to set the tone, BUT I will still have the tools and such - a garage is for working in!
