Rijeka 2011 Grab the flag

[EGLITOM]

I have participated in the 2011 Rijeka Grab the flag event.

As my EGLI Twin is not running i took my sons SR500 Racer(#118).

We had 3 days of great weather and a lot of fun on the track.

Finished 2nd each in the two of my Class races ( 500CC singles and twins).

I also participated in an 2h endurance race partnering with a 1260ccm Kawasaki in an two-bike team. Due the Kawas displacement we had to run in the open unlimited class but still managed to win this class and scored 2nd overall by a margin of 0,096sec , my biggest competitor in my class overtook me in the last lap out of the slipstream and won by 4meters.

Possibly because i´ve never crashed until now. Close to very close to it on some occassions but still managed to ride it out.
For the first time out on this bike i´m quite happy (120kg curb weight and app 50-55HP is a lot of fun) and also confident that there are another 1-2 seconds per lap to improve in the coming season.
Not gonna use my sons bike, since last week i´m already building one for myself.
