Yes, you addressed us as your brother, in post 144. You have your nerve. The last thing I want to be is brother to you. My apologies to everyone else except yourself for the tone of this post. You're damn right you offend me.
Well, here's your problem.... I wasn't discussing the different perspectives of religion and deference with "US"... Jon and I were engaged in conversation. Not you, and not us...
So let me make sure I follow... your panty hose is all bunched up because you took a single word out of context from a post that had nothing, nothing to do with you??? You have basically injected yourself in the conversation with the defense of a per sieved offense that never happened.
Basically, your mistaken... and lack judgement.
Isn't odd that you would be so offended, that you say "You have nerve" just because you assumed I called you brother.... How did you respond??... You became defensive, your panties wadded up. Guess what Jimbo, your mistaken, I wasn't talking to you, how could I be??... I never met you, you never responded any post I have ever posted??...
So... Good thing you didn't see me walking across the field in the distance, you might have taken a shot at me

... And started a war.... over religion... cause you think I called you brother.....
Jimbo, had I called you brother, I would clearly owe you an apology. But I didn't, so I don't. You assumed that.
I think you guys ( WHO HAVE BEEN SO KIND AS TO COMMENT ) could possibly be missing the point.
The point is not about religion, it's about consistency, interpretation of information and respect for another persons heartfelt commitments.
I have never mentioned my own personal religion in any of these posts.
I simply defended a guy who wanted you all to know the joy and happiness he found....
Why do you guys attack him???
Why do you ridicule him??....
Why do you say " so fuck off big time"...
That makes it about you guys, not him or religion.
That flaw is yours, you own it.
No one is pushing religion on you...
If your not into it, then don't click on it...
Now... About the wars....
Clearly, clearly many wars have been started over religion. BUT NOT ALL!
Why was WW2 started??...
Why was the Korean conflict started??...
Why was Viet Nam undertaken??
Why was WW1 started??...
Now, let me say on the onset. I really don't know the initial details of some of these conflicts, and they could have a religious element, I just don't know.
But I would venture to say that a significant number of wars were not started due to religion....
Politics, boarders, resources, etc....
So again, when you say all, or when you assume, your basically surrendering your position ( which may be valid otherwise ).
i.e. had I called jimbo brother, all wars were not started over religion... etc.
I would like to thank the moderator for their patience in this thread, obviously I enjoy engaging in intellectual discourse. I hope to provide a new perspective not exclusively about the subject matter but about people and how we/they perceive the social responsibility of others when compared to the interpersonal actions of ourselves/themselves......
