Shrink tubing in stead of hose clamps?

Guys,

A friend of mine recommended shrink tubing in stead of hose clamps.
These are specifically designed for pipe to flex connections. Not sure if they can be used with fuel. He uses them on cooling pipes.

Any experience, thoughts on this?

Very common now in medium and heavy trucks. The shrink bands are not the same as electrical shrink tube. You must be able to access the full diameter of the tube with the heat gun for proper shrink and holding power.

What about removing them? If you need to shift something later how do you take the thing off?

You cut them. They are "one time use" bands.
