No, they can't match the laptimes. I hope the team can pull off the win, but the fuel stops might kill them. The current third place car is an ITR Porsche 944 S2, great endurance. It might slip back to #2 if the SLC stops for fuel anytime soon.

...and back down to 4th for another fuel stop. I can only imagine the frustration by the team. It is bad enough just watching the timing updates. Good news is that there is only about 1.5 minutes between the 01 car and the 2nd place car. They are now racing in the dark with 2 hrs 26 minutes left.

It looks like the 01 SLC pitted the same time as the 3rd place car and was able to hold onto their 2nd place position. They are now 2 laps down from the leader (they were 1 lap down from the leader and almost 1 lap ahead of 3rd place before they pitted). the car is still running 8 seconds per lap faster than the leader! one hour 34 minutes to go!

It is an extremely well prepped BMW M3 from the Bimmershop in St. Louis.

Race under caution still, lap 274.

Serge Tousignant Bimmershop race team. in lead with BimmerWorld in 3rd place overall. 01 SLC still in 2nd and still under yellow with 1 hour, 6 minutes to go. Should be coming up on a fuel stop soon.

Green flag - 01 SLC is now 2:24 behind first place car with 59 minutes left and he is running 13 seconds per lap faster than the 1st place car.

55 minutes left and they just took 15 second out of the leader in one lap! The way I read it they are 1:44 down.....ON THE SAME LAP!
Yeehaa...this mush be intense for the boys on the wall.
