Tornado in Vermont

Hi Bill,
the car looks fantastic and the colour is one I'd been considering, especially after seeing the new Maclaren road car in this colour. Even my wife approved, as her old Peugeot 206 was a similar colour (Sunburst Orange)

Regards,
Andy

Thanks for the feed back gents, it's one of the things that makes the work worth while. The color is called Mango Tango, and the stripes are a seven color fade. Glad you all like.

Stopped and spoke to Bill and Scott at Carlisle on Sat. and I have to say that the photos that Bill posted here do not do his car justice.
The fit and finish is absolutely top shelf, and attention to detail is superb.
Great to see you guys and congrats to Scott and Tornado on a well thought out chassis and Bill on a super job.
Cheers
Phil

Two great shots ...

Scott and I had a great time in Pa. last weekend and talked with a good number of folks on Fri. and Sat.
The good weather brought a good number of people to the show and we were busy with entertaining and answering questions. So here are some shots of my car at the show. I have a appointment on the chassis dyno at RAD Automotive next week for final tuning of carb, ect. It will be nice to know what rear wheel HP urns out to be. I'll let you know the numbers. At this posting the 40 has all of 25 miles on the clock.

The car has an appointment this week on the chassis dyno at RAD Automotive. We'll get the carb set for mid range as well as low and top end. I'll let you all know what we get for rear wheel HP.

After the show in Carlisle two weeks ago, I left the GT with Randy to finish a few details. We had three things to finish. First was the fitting of some close off panels from the ends of the dash to the inside of the doors. They seal off the rear of the front wheel well. Secondly we had to relive the inside rear wheel panels as the end of the sway bars had made contact with the panels. Third was the mounting of the side mirrors.
I went with a mirror I got from BRE. I'd bought them for the Daytona but found they fit the GT very well, giving good rear view on both sides.
It's nice to have the GT at home.

I had a great day at home with the GT. Yesterdays rain passed and the morning was bright and clear. By noon I had the GT out of the trailer and wiped down a bit. The only thing left to do was to go for a drive. After thirty miles of driving and lunch we arrived back home with a big smile.
Sarah got home from work and we went for our first drive in the GT,she loves it. I will say 450 HP in a 2300lb package is scary fast. For those that are building and haven't driven a GT with good power the only thing that more HP will get you is in trouble faster. At days end we'd seen 100+ miles of good driving.
All is well with the Tornado in Vermont.
I also got the Daytona out for the first family pictures.

Bill,

Those pictures all look fantastic. You should be very proud of your creation, it sets as very high bench mark for those following.

I had the GT out at a local show today, stopped on the way home and took these photos. Very hot inside the car, can't wait till I've got the AC working!
I need to get a better camera for some better pics'.
