RCR's Next car should be.....

Yep! I'll be visiting soon enough though.

Rackspace shares are doing better and better, we hit our highest yesterday.... probably a good thing then ;)

Saw the new kit car magazine and there was a teaser of some turbo'd 4-banger coupe soon to be offered by RCR. How about spilling the beans Fran? We promise not to tell anyone :)
An RCR alternative to the also soon to be released FFR offering...Fran certainly doesn't rest on his laurels.

No competition....:lipsrsealed:

Platform is in the studio and the full scale foam is being worked right now...nice full size coupe package with OEM electric windows/HVAC etc all standard...

103 inch wheel base 18/19 wheels...4 / 6 cyl. package...might look a little like this...but then maybe not...wink..

If all goes well we be displaying at Carlisle...

I have pricing goals but quality first , then price .....

The D type and Maserati are mid 20's as a roller .. aluminum mono cockpit and a superb gelcoat finish as usual....

Fran, are you talking Carlisle Import and Kit Nationals in May?

If yes that's soon than the 'other' kit is expected and fits better into my needs. If all goes well, are you expecting availability immediately after?

Nope...that will just be the pre-prod show car....dont expect production until late in the year at the earliest...and Carlisle is only tentative too....so dont book your vacation around a trip to a windy, cold field in Pa.

D TYPE?!?!??? Very nice!!! Will it have the vertical stabilizer like the race car???

I remember you talking about doing a more "mainstream" 4/6 cylinder powered car sometime back. I thought the concept was dead (because of the SLC success). I'm curious how this car will look in the flesh.

For the D ,I have the XKSS body shape with windscreen , the hump with no fin and the hump with a fin...so all variations are covered...
No projects ever die Justin....some are just a better idea at a different time than others..
The front engined cars are an Anti C*bra style cars that are iconic in their own right and are still an easier build. The original design of the D with a monocoque tub lends itself nicely to the RCR line up.

Excellent!!! Finally, the engine is in the right place...:lipsrsealed: I'd love to see the Jag with a high-revving inline 6 under the bonnet.

And to Alex: just kidding. Im anxious to hear your SLC!!!

I had a look at the new FF front engine thing at SEMA. Although we all have different taste, that car struck me as a bit bland with some proportion imbalance from a styling standpoint.

Now this drawing here looks modern and edgy with good proportion, at least as far a one can tell from a two angle depiction.

I likey. You keep it interesting Fran, good for you....and us.
I need more disposable income.... and a 917, and a 962 ......

FFR has a new front engined car in the works? I thought the 818 was their next "thing", but I think that is mid-engined. There were some great renderings submitted in the 818 contest, but I am not a fan of the design direction they chose so far at all.

Fran's renderings look awesome.
