What was said sounded a lot like when we were told that Al Gore invested in a fracking company.....

I'm an appraiser, in each report there are literally hundreds of places to make a mistake and mistakes happen. But when all the mistakes go in one direction, it stops being a mistake and it becomes a felony.
Unfortunately in today's media, mistakes that all lean in one direction gets you a show on FOX/MSNBC.
Larry, the easiest way to tell, when virtually everything is blamed on one side, you are waisting your time, life has never worked like that.
I limit my information services those that have I have found over time to at least try and be fair in their reporting.

Remember just a few years ago when 'Big Al' and the boys were telling us the Arctic would be ice free by 2013...remember that?
Well.......................IT ISN'T. The ice cap is larger.
They've told us a lot of things over the years that today we know "ISN'T", so, why do so many still choose to march in lockstep with that tune?

Do you guys actually care whether or not the Earth is cooling or warming? Or, is it simply that "the left" says the Earth is warming, we don't like the left, therefore it isn't warming.
In the end, if you are anti-global warming, what real effect does the global climate change debate have on your life?
Is there anything being done now to combat this "faux global warming" that has a direct, tangible impact on your life and what you do? If so, what is it?

The Globe's temps have been going up and down on their own ('Earth "correcting" itself if you will) since the day it was created, Ron. That's a fact. And for 'man' to think HE can change that is the height of arrogance IMO.
These temp cycles appear to swing back & forth about every 30 years or so. Evidence of that? Scientists were telling us we were entering another Ice Age back in the '70s. THEN we were told we were threatened by "man-made global WARMING" in the late '90s/early 2000s...that man's activities have accelerated the process. NOW scientists are suggesting we might be headed for another Ice Age!
'See the problem? It's NOT a "left vs. right" situation as far the Earth itself is concerned. It just happens that "the left" thinks man can control the process via govt rules/regulations/taxes/income redistribution and "the right" doesn't.

Shall we discuss/throw in the global temp data fraud that was brought to light several years ago here, Jim? You know...all the temp stations whose locations had originally been SUBurban sites (farmers fields or whatever)...sites that hadn't themselves been moved, but city limits physically had overtaken 'em which affectively converted 'em to URBAN sites instead...but, 'were still being classified and recorded as SUBurban? You know, little details like that?

What would be really interesting is to see a mean/avg temp chart going back a 1,000 years or so. What I think we would see is basically a hockey stick with the relatively flat line average up until about 1900 and then a hard turn upwards thereafter with a slightly irregular, but obvious, increase. For the fact hounds, I have no chart or guess to support that, that's just a WAG. Whether that represents a "natural swing in temp" or happens to correspond with the industrial revolution getting into full swing...well, opinions can differ, but I'm going with the latter.
I see it all the time, man is degrading this planet with pollution and depleting the natural resources and wildlife at an alarming rate. And the trend is accelerating with rapid global population growth. China, for example, almost had to cancel the Olympics because the environment was so bad in the vicinity....the only way they got away with it was to shut down factories in the surrounding area a couple years prior and engage in some major clean up efforts so the world wouldn't know how bad it is there.
Things are going to get a whole lot worse before they get any better....which is a shame for me with four young children who will undoubtedly not have access to the same environmental opportunities I had as a kid...and who will probably be footing much of the bill for attempts to correct the current decline.
It's easy for people to deny or ignore inconvenient facts...because not doing so requires actually lifting a finger and changing ones ways...actually doing something about it. It was the same with Roosevelt and WWII...most of America didn't want to get involved and thought it was a European problem...but Roosevelt knew it would come knocking on our shores soon enough and got the war machine cranking sufficiently early to have an impact. I guess that's the difference between good leaders and those that follow.

I've said it a thousand times, "The 'scientists' who make these claims/charts use data that they have been caught 'adjusting' several times. You may not have noticed that Larry, once again, pointed out that same fact.

...you mean like the fact the Earth hasn't warmed at all over the past 17 years? Or the fact the Arctic ice cap is BIGGER today than it's been in years - contrary to being gone in 2013 because of "global warming" as Al G. "predicted"? Or the fact that Antarctica has gotten colder? Or the fact that scientists are suggesting we now may be headed into a "mini-ice age"?
But, no matter what's going on, to the "warmers" it's proof of "global warming". If it's HOT when/where it should be cold - it's due to global warming. If it COLD when/where it's supposed to be hot - it's due to global warming. Even the race riots in Ferguson had their origin in global warming according to "warmer"/environmental activist Deirdre Smith of the left-wing outfit 350.org.! 'Dead serious!

Ron the effect this "science" has had on Australians is higher taxes, higher fuel costs, higher energy costs, higher transport costs both road rail and air.
All the above have had a very tangible effect on my lifestyle .
