F1 in 2015

Why don't these youngsters just relax? With $100 mil to play with he needn't be in a hurry and he could indulge in another form of 'practice' on the weekends.. wink wink.

The tragedy is, that him and Mrs B don't even live together because of his schedule. Whatever people think of JB, he must be a driven man to stray away from that foot warmer.

Time to chill out JB. Giving up working was the best thing I ever did. I wish I had done it 40 years ago, but no, I had to go for the 2nd mil and in so doing, lost the first one! Bugger....

Proof that it's never over until it's over. Button's hardball with Ron appears to have paid off as he has been re-signed today for 2016 presumably with his fee hike of $4 million intact, which puts him on $16 mil I think. Still way short of Teflonso's millions but handy all the same. Jury is still out whether Fred will walk at the end of the year though..

Or maybe even sooner if he goes on mouthing off like that...

F1 has lost its edge for me, watching the MotoGP as a comparison F1 pales into insignificance.
GP2 and GP3 are more exciting. A huge broom is needed to get rid of the bureaucracy and the vested interests of the big teams.
How to go about that I have no idea.

Nah, I've been saving all year mate....

I still think Sainz is the better all round driver whilst Max is most definitely headed for the firmament. As a team owner/manager I would much rather have Carlos on the team, who I think has a great future but there's no doubt Max will put bums on seats every time he races and God knows, F1 needs that right now.

I think you may even turn your coat for the extra $6 million or so he gets for next year. He's allegedly already worth almost $100 million (look, I like Button but how on earth has he managed to accumulate that amount by being, at best, just a competent F1 driver?)

Good luck to him but it makes no sense..

And anyway, he had an option or rather Ron did, to cancel but he didn't use it....

Kimi Raikonnen ran into Bottas, oops, spoiler..

Sorry.

But does anyone think WEC is any better?

Fuji borefest..

WEC or F1 are not a patch on Moto GP methinks

Like David I nodded of but I did see bits of the midfield racing and thought it was quite entertaining. Mchonda both in the points by default but nonetheless there. Thought it a shame that Nico dropped out as he was the only one on track in danger of giving Lulu something to think about, looks like blondy has it in the bag. Quietly impressed with Petal the way he has chased down the Mercs this season and filled their mirrors with red on occasions . Ho hum for the rest of the season.:lipsrsealed:

All these top series are manipulated by the manufacturers and they have all but ruined it in all categories..

The problem with F1 & Moto GP in particular is that they've allowed the manufacturers to write the rules. I have no idea what FIA and ACO think they're doing with WEC..

But, it's a bit late to try and get this crap back in the box.. Sometimes you have to kill stuff and let it grow again from the beginning.

ARRGGGGGG! Set the recording for the race, and even recorded "F1 Extra" just in case. Result....NASCAR on both recordings. Can I possibly list all the expletives that came out of my mouth after: riding a shitty-ass 62 mile bicycle ride/race in which a recent pea-gravel surfacing was done at the last minute resulting in one piece chipping my incisor (was in the pace-line), and then another piece of gravel wedged between the brake caliper and the tire. Shortly after that, the chain came off on a hill climb, at which point the lead group dropped me. Then, after one thing or another, I finally got in the recliner, turned on the recording, and my "disgust" scared the cats so badly, they didn't come out for 30 minutes.

I think that's great...rain the great equaliser the drivers must use their skill rather than depend on the best engine.
Which lap will Maldonado crash on?
