Ford GTD40

Reg. no. incl.: N40AGT

Originally built 1994/5 in Mougins (Cannes).
French registered 1996 until January 2005, registered & driven in the South of France (LHD) until 2005.

Bought by the current owner in Jan 2005. Initial registration N67RCG.
Since then significant improvements made to the car.

Engine: Ford “302” cu inch V8 (5 Litre),
Edelbrock Performer RPM Aluminium heads, Edelbrock Performer Camshaft
Eagle Forged Con Rods, Keith Black Hypereutectic Pistons
New Timing Chain and Aluminium SBF Cover, Canton “Rear” Racing sump
High Volume Melling Oil Pump, Aluminium Roller Rockers with Polylocks
New Ford Racing Tall Rocker Covers, New flywheel.
Moroso Windage Tray and Oil Cooler recently installed.
Holley 670 CFM Four Barrel Carburetor,
New low-level fuel pumps with shut off solenoids on each tank.
Dyno test results: 380BHP at 6,000rpm.

Gearbox: 5 speed transaxle with Quaife ATB Limited Slip Differential.
(Recently serviced by Chris Cole)

Wheels: Halibrand Style; Front 7” x 15”. Rear 9” x 15”
Tyres: Nearly New: Avon CR6ZZ 215/60 x 15 Front. 275/55 x 15 Rears.

Suspension:
Front: GTD but with Willwood 6 Pot Brake Calipers – 300mm Vented Rotors.
Rear: GTD Lower Transverse Wishbones/Upper Transverse Arms. Trailing Arms.
Front & Rear: Spax adjustable Shock Absorbers. POWERFLEX Suspension Bushes

Chassis/ Body
GTD Space Frame, Powder Coated, Aluminium Panelled.
New Aluminium Radiator, Speedhut GPS Speedo, On-board Go Pro Video Camera. Sat Navigation & low-pressure oil warning light.
Remote Central Locking.
6-point Luke Harnesses.

Weight: approx. 1,114Kg. 0-60mph: Approx. 4.3 seconds. Max Speed: 160 mph @ 6,000 rpm

Great looking car - engine seems to be tilted forward. Was this by design?

All standard GTDs had the engine tilted forward which is why they should have an angle plate under the carb to level it up.

Hi Oliver & Roberliano,

The car is held on a deposit with a very enthusiastic buyer. Only if that falls through could I accept including any further interest in my car.

Nice that this lovely car is going to an enthusiast (hopefully)
Seen too many been snapped up by dealers and sat in showrooms for months, even years at overinflated prices out of the reach of mere mortals!
