Do you know the year that photo was taken? The record in that class, D Gas Roadster is currently:
engine size D name Hot Rod Hoodlums driver D. Jones date 8 /12 219.831 mph
I'll try to find him in the SCTA files.
Randy, I checked the SCTA archive and I did not see that car listed so maybe it is still around bur in a different class or has a new number.
This morning Speed Demon made another run on the long course at Bonneville. 470.733 mph average in mile 5. WOW!

Last night's spectacular lightning display. While it is not unusual to see such electrical activity here in the Southern Arizona desert this one went on for an hour. Enjoy. Regards, Neilwww.gt40s.com

While deciding whether or not to send out Christmas cards this year, I found something in my Dad’s papers that may be suitable for 2020. Just a little reminder that the world was also in turmoil in 1945 but the outlook was beginning to look brighter. This is a scan of a Christmas poem that someone wrote and mimeographed in Manila, Philippine Islands, just after it was captured in 1945.
Just as 1945 was the last Christmas of WW II, let’s hope 2020 is the last year of this virus. Be hopeful- be safe.
Merry Christmas to All, Neil & Joline Albaugh Tucson, AZ
