Actually I think that Capri ended up front engined, although it was originally going to be mid. That car is the real ‘hairdressers’ car as you call it. MG looks like a viper compared to it.

As the MGF has the K series engine and hydrolastic suspension he may be doing the head gasket or refilling the hydrolastic fluid!
