And then we have this.....

"Numerous press reports are saying that Pope Francis has a master's degree in chemistry, including one that incorrectly cites me as a source. Sorry, it is not true.
It is true that Pope Francis studied chemistry and worked as a chemist prior to entering the seminary. But Jorge Bergoglio never graduated from university prior to entering the seminary."

Yet another assertion made by someone in the 'pro climate change' crowd is debunked.

'BOTTOM LINE TO ALL THIS:

Until 'science' and 'scienTISTS' on both sides of the 'warming' issue are in agreement and can prove empirically that (1) global warming IS actually happening (17 year pause or no 17 year pause), (2) that man IS thee major cause, AND, (3) that man actually can do something about it short of bankrupting the entire world economy, let's not, ON A 'MAYBE', for the next however-many years, be imposing BAZILLIONS of dollars worth of heavy-handed rules and regs and FEES and FINES on everything that moves, eats, passes gas, makes something, powers (fuels) something, consumes something, etc., etc., etc.

Let's just NOT.

In the meantime, REASONABLE, RATIONAL, LOGICAL laws/regs/rules that just make SENSE (like not dumping antifreeze down storm drains, 'not dumping raw sewage/chemicals/toxins into creeks, rivers, streams or oceans - that sort of thing) should continue. But, crap like shutting down the entire coal industry...or fining a construction company TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS because one of its Caterpillar tractors left the imprint of one of its 'tracks' on the shoreline of a lake - NO. :furious:

Water is the biggest issue here and the biggest threat to our existence on this planet . The damage caused by flooding, the economic and social disasters caused by drought, its lack of distribution on a world wide scale and the impact this is having on food production. We have been bleating about the climate for decades and doing virtually nothing to counter the effects of climate change.

We need to be addressing this problem on a world wide scale. We need to tame, harvest and distribute what we have. Perhaps fuck the Mars exploration and other mega expensive projects for the minute and concentrate on problems we have here before its too late.

Ironically, it is exactly because mankind continues to believe that it can manage, harvest and distribute, that we have rivers that flood, and soils that erode.

Mankind needs to stop transporting sheep all the way around the globe, so I can have a nice leg for dinner on Sunday, when there are plenty of sheep to be had locally.

Stop expecting to have fresh Strawberries in winter and sun-dried Tomatoes during every season of the year and don't build homes on flood-planes, unless you are willing to have them washed away during the next flood.

The sooner mankind admits that he does not control everything and cannot change anything, the better off we will all be.

What we need is some bloody humility and stop believing all the self-proclaimed saviours and do-gooders!!

Is this a de facto admission that all this carbon tax stuff will do nothing except destroy the world economy??

Not really Bob. Just a suggestion that all we need to do is stop being twats, who instruct even bigger twats to run things.

You know, some people think its a good idea to live on the side of Mt. Vesuvius.

When that blows again, the fools will claim either they didn't see it coming, or it's some other fool's fault that they chose to live there.

Totally agree Mark, gone are the days that people took responsibility for their own actions.
When something goes wrong it is never their fault.

Look at these morons in Sakurajima. The School children have to wear hard hats walking to School, because of falling rocks and the a Sea is literally boiling from the volcanic action.

Brilliant. Just don't ask for International aid and blame the poor motor car, when the shit hits the fan!

LOL! 'Reminds me of what Geo. Carlin said in one of his routines:

"...how about those people in Kilowaia, Hawaii, who built their homes right next to an active volcano and then wonder why they have lava in the living room."

Of course, this guy HASTA be a 'kook'...right?

Nobel Prize-winning scientist says Obama is

AND BEFORE YOU 'POOH-POOH' the source because it's FOX News - NOTE:

climatechange.com
newsmax.com
washingtontimes.com
wgmd.com
dailycaller.com

...and a host of others ALL report the same thing. But, the same Google search is TOTALLY VOID of reporting by outfits like NBC, CBS, ABC, MSNBC, and CNN. Gee. 'Wonder why?

My question would be is this scientist one of the 3% (perhaps even less now) that has a contradictory view of climate change than the other 97%?

If I was driving down a one-way street in the opposite direction to all the other oncoming traffic, should a reasonable and rational observer of this action believe that I was the only one in the right, and that all the other drivers were misguided?
