More Global Cooling/Warming/Change hoax.

Dear Mr. Young. When reporters are forced to report on something they don't agree on, they always ad a bunch of buts, maybes, and what ifs to keep them out of trouble with the activists. Get used to it, the Right has.

Advice: Read the article in its entirety before posting about it (an ongoing issue with you). I'll start pulling quotes from it if you'd like, but I'll let you take a shot at clearing up what that article (or at least the Economist article on which it is based) is really about first.

Give it a whirl!

This is almost as good as the "What Veek said about the CRA" v. what Congress's Inquiry Panel, the Fed, three Fed Banks, Ben Bernanke and Paul Krugman said about the CRA.

So Pete, you say that there is ABOSOLUTLY NO GLOBAL WARMING, you say the photos of receding glaciers are faked, you say that all the data is faked, you say that despite conflicting data you know for a fact that man has nothing to do with it!

I say the earth is getting warmer, but that no matter what people on either side say, one knows for sure what the cause is.

Looking at our two views, you can't tell who the fanatic is?

Really?

Noun
A person filled with excessive and single-minded zeal, esp. for an extreme religious or political cause.

Well thank you Jim, I think you just helped people decide. Please do not put words in my mouth. I refer you and everybody else to my post# 382. Not hard to find just one page back. As I said people will read your posts and mine and decide who is the fanatic. It's a no brainer really.

So he must be right about Global Warming (I think he only endorses warming, right?).

Pete,

Unfortunately as we who follow politics know all to well, that is not even close to the dumbest thing Mr Gingrich has done:)

The second largest force in terms of green houses gases is CO2. This makes up 9 to 26% of all green house heating. 94% of this gas is produced through the rotting of dead plants. Man is responsible for the remaining 6% of this gas. Man produces this gas by burning that material that would rot or by the burning of fossil fuels to mover cars, heat homes or fuel industry. The largest single portion of this is produced (over 50%) by heating and powering homes. Man also prevents a great deal of CO2 from being produced by using lumber that is cut from forests. This causes a artificial carbon sink. The wood inside a structure decays slower and thereby does not enter the atmosphere.

How are greenhouse gases produced

“The sun is the main driver and supplier of energy, and it is the true external driver of the…climate system,” said Soon. “There are no other forces on earth that could supply that energy for air to move around…”

May have posted this before but I think it says it all:

If the Sun sneezes the Earth gets pneumonia !

Gee we're going back here for global cooling/warming/we don't really know science??

Jeff, the CRA was a major contributor to the financial crisis along with Fannie and Freddie and yes, the Bush administration that aggressively supported both. There is simply no way around it.

Attached is a link to a very effective summary article entitled: “Here's How The Community Reinvestment Act Led To The Housing Bubble's Lax Lending” by John Carney. Mr. Carney is a for CRA defender turned critic. The article is his thoughtful independent analysis.

Advice: Read the article in its entirety before posting about it...give it a whirl.

But to be fair, Mr. Krugman and I agree on at least one thing. . .
“…there are some idiots who’ve won Nobels.” -Paul Krugman.

My apologies for the thread drift, I couldn't help myself...

Holy crap, you all sound like blind fools. What really disturbs me, is how the quoting of other people and the copying and pasting of various articles, is somehow transformed into proof for your points.

Watching the BBC News a couple of evenings ago, they discussed the fact that we had snow here last week, which is unusual for this time of year.

mr. scientist came on. The governments CHIEF scientific adviser no less.

Here are his words, the only words the BBC obviously decided were worth airing,

"We know that we will have Droughts, Floods, Extreme Winds, Cold periods and very hot periods".

SO BASICALLY, WEATHER! What a load of bloody idiots they all take us for. How much is that expert receiving form the crown's purse each year. Fooking twat.

I see, you subscribe to the Fox News method, when facts and figures support your views, their great, when they don't, complain about them!
