Finally got the doors hung and cut out the holes for the engine, vents and exhaust.

Used some of the off-cut GRP pieces to make up a couple of recess boxes for the rear fog light and reverse light. One fitted but needs some filler and sanding to finish off.

Ian

I am sorry to say but they don't look 100mm from the stop lamps so won't comply with the IVA. I thought I should point it out while you can still move them.

I believe the separation is from all lights

Could be wrong though as it is a while since I read the manual

Ian

You could try this then switch after the test as you need to fill in the apertures on the bodywork.

Gents, thanks for info. For the IVA I had planned on temporalily locating the rear fog in a more central location and away from the rear light and then fit back into the body recess later. However, 40 Buds idea to rotate the rear light is a blinder. It means that there would be a 100mm gap now. I checked this against the IVA Manual, and this specifies a requirement of "100mm min from the rear stop light".
Thanks

Doors all finished now, and locks and striker plates in. Rear clip also pretty much finished, except of course the window and the final preparation for painting. Front clip next.

Hi Ian,
you're making excellant progress. I especially like the way you've mounted the rear fog & reversing lights.

Regards
Andy

Thanks. Compared to the terrific panelling job you are doing Andy, making up the rear fog/reverse light shrouds is a walk in the park.
Cheers

Prepared the front clip this weekend, all holes cut and the headlights now fixed in and glued in place.

Sealed the underside of the front clip and drilled out the holes for the front indicators, side repeaters and NACA ducts. Was in two minds about the drilling out the NACA ducts before the IVA test, but decided to take a chance. Worst case is I have to cover if need be for the test. Also sanded back the panel molding lines. Will paint the underside and then fit back on the car.
