Picked up on this on the news, Tokyo is sinking six times faster than the sea is rising because of tapping into the ground water sources . This may have implications on the value of some presently very expensive real estate. And Tokyo is not the only one.:stunned:

Parts of Christchurch in NZ dropped over half a metre in the earthquakes a couple of years back. Those parts are now prone to flooding (four times in the past eight weeks) and the big question is, do the residents simply abandon their homes.... They're not worth much. Government and insurance companies are sitting on their hands at present.
