The aim of an argument or discussion should not be victory, but progress.

Jim when you say of Breitbart ..."his quest to slander the NAACP!" I'd like to see your facts to support that. You went on to say, “Perhaps because he did not care what the original speech(sic) covered because he was going to change it anyway!”
I simply asked the question, where are your facts how do you know this? If it's just your speculation, state the the basis or admit that this is something you're assuming.
I don't know Breitbart's motivation (and neither do you) and slander is a provocative term and legally actionable. Now the facts: Breitbart says (transcript from Hannity):
"This is what she said that has to do with what's going on right now and why this is not about Shirley and Andrew, this is about the NAACP and the Congressional Black Caucus and the Democratic Party: "Tainting the Tea Party movement with the charge of racism is proving to be an effective strategy for Democrats. There's no evidence that the Tea Party adherence are any more racist than other Republicans and indeed many other Americans. But getting them to spend their time purging the ranks and having candidates distance themselves should help Democrats in November, having one's opponent rebut charges of racism is far better than discussing — "
The fact is, that what he said. What he meant is speculative so let's call it that with some analysis. His statements as to intent lead me to believe this is not "slander" but a confrontation of the NAACP, Black Caucus and the Democrats for what he believes are false claims against the Tea Party movement. Ironically, the fact that Ms Sherrod's out of context statements about her past racial bias got her fired by the administration, discredited by the NAACP and pilloried in the media easily provide a construct where disputed Tea Party use of the "N"-word and alleged spitting on a black congressman get traction when, like the evidence against Ms Sharrod, it may well be a fabrication or contextual manipulation.
So caution may be wise not to do to Mr. Breitbart and the Tea Party movement that was done to Ms. Sherrod. It could be equally irresponsible.
Jim, please call me on my assumptions and I'll continue to address your vacancy of factual support.
