Sure sounds like Red Bullsh*t wants Kimi for next year so maybe it is for real.

Hammy looked good in the Merc. Maybe Brawn will get that thing up to speed.

Hey Pete. Thread drift (massiv). How come you lot spell it "rumour" but you spell Juliar's (cough > spit) partay, Labor?
Because the correct spelling for the Labor party is Labor as opposed to work which is spelt Labour. For our American friends the Australian Labor party is a left wing socialist party similiar to your Liberals.
Strangly our right wing conservative party is called The Liberal Party.

Hey David M, what have you heard about MW and Porsche?
I'm pretty sure he will not be at Red Bull next year, but have only heard rumours, nothing of substance.

I'd really like to know the origin of the word (Labor) but I am relieved. I thought it had something to do with a part of the female anatomy.

Oh well, I'll see you next Tuesday mate :)

From wiki but similar info at other sources:-

The ALP adopted the formal name "Australian Labour Party" in 1908, but changed the spelling to "Labor" in 1912. While it is standard practice in Australian English both today and at the time to spell the word labour with a "u", the party was influenced by the United States labour movement and a prominent figure in the early history of the party, the American–born King O'Malley, was successful in having the spelling "modernised".

As usual we tug our forelock with the prevailing wind.
"Modernized"... Give me a break...
^ Crappy iPhone did that.... Modernised!

Tim.

I am amazed and thank you for the info Tim. Unfortunately, I can no longer tug my forelock but I'll take my hat off to those that can.

Yes, you've got to watch those bloody chellspeckers mate....:veryangry:

And back to the news.....Webber given grid penalty (3 places) for causing a crash with Jean-Eric Vergne.
Esteban Guitierrez (aka Crash) has a 5 position penalty for hitting Adrian Sutil in the rear.
No action taken for using DRS in a yellow zone (Webber, Buttons, and others)
No action taken against Perez for pushing Kimi to the outside of the track.

Car bombing in Bahrain....

And the best news....Sir Moss believes women do not have the mental skills to race in F1..

Sir Stirling is a much much braver man than I. However I agree with him, and I think it is self evident, how many women are driving in F 1 today? How many women drivers have there been in the history of the sport? I will say I don't think mental capacity has anything to do with it, unless he means women are so much smarter than men they don't need to prove themselves on the field of battle so to speak........
No women are much better off making babies and looking after the men of the house.
How am I doing so far girls?
