Being an early chassis it has a cross-member that is removed on later chassis so it needed some modification to clear the master cylinders.

Due to a schoolboy error, (I thought I had 5 point harness's not 6) I got confused over how they should go.

Mick at Southern GT suggested sending a photo of what I had. One of his annotations made us laugh, although my daughter says it should be labelled a shrunk space hopper.

Seats in passenger seat needed the leather on the bottom peeling back a bit, and a little trimming of the seat base to fit. Seat belt bar and 6 point seat belts fitted.

Hi Nick,
Just been having a look at your build. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the steering wheel in your last post is a FAIL. I don't think you are allowed to have holes in in the wheel. Mick at SGT will know for sure.
Always interesting to watch peoples builds …. keep the posts coming.
best regards
Steve Dean

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the heads up. I have no idea if what you say is true, the steering wheel came from SGT.

I am not worried though as I will be using Mick for IVA, so have no doubt that anything amiss will be put right.

Nick,
you need to make something up like this I did for mine. It's only a piece of material over a foam base and will keep the IVA man happy
Keep up the good work.
Andy

Hope I have solved the storage problem I have 42 inches although it did require cutting a hole in the garage roof.
