F1 in 2015

I know Max a bit from when he was very young.
He and his father (Jos) were karting on the same track as I was in those days.
I actually spent some time setting up the kart with Jos.

I must say, Max made me proud being a Dutch man!

What a talent!

The FIA has decided no further action is to be taken on the Mecedes low tire pressure issue.
The two GP2 cars that were DQ'd will now have grounds for an appeal I imagine.

Mercedes guy Herman the German quite rightly pointed out that clarification was needed as to what temperature the said pressure applied, it seems daft to quote a tyre pressure as a regulation without it.

Aside from that little distraction...what about those crazy Italians. They do love their racing team! I has happy for Massa though. I think the podium ceremony was more entertaining than the race.

Interesting FP3 from Singapore although this could all change come qualy,

Ferrari & Red Bull engines clearly superior, so should Mercedes get extra tokens to play catch up?

Yes, there's no doubt in my mind that he's ready to quit. To use football parlance "his socks are down around his ankles". Singapore was particularly telling, short of temper and extremely frustrated on the radio and admitted to Suzi Perry that his "enthusiasm is waning."

Why should he wait for Ron Dennis to screw him over again?

Quite apart from the ruckus over the engine, I think the nail in the coffin is that this is not a good chassis either. If it was the "3rd best" on the grid as has been touted, they would have been a lot further up than they were. Look what Red Bull achieved with an engine, completely undeveloped this year (no tokens spent) and allegedly 50-75 hp down on Merc?

Just do not understand McLaren at all. Even with Peter Prodomou on-board, this seems yet another dog of a car. Cannot blame Jenson at all for jumping ship. He's got $100 million burning a hole in his pocket and now he can finally become the playboy everyone accused him of being. He could even gets some tats and dye his hair blond

More news:

The Audi board has made the decision to enter F1 in 2018, collaborating with Red Bull as sponsor and pulling out of Le Mans and DTM.

"It is alleged"

Further: "Audi's Ingolstadt board has given the green light to formula one, the German publication Auto Bild claimed exclusively on Monday. Actually, the latest rumours about the Volkswagen Group putting together a F1 foray for one of its brands was broken at the weekend by Eddie Jordan, the former F1 team owner who as British television pundit now regularly breaks major stories."
