Roaring Forties 105

This is the end results of 18 months worth of making panels

It has come up pretty neat I think ,it has lots of character and turns some heads.
I got it running Friday night and went for a run, did a couple hundred Km over the last few days and its all good.
I have not weighed it yet but will when I get the chance, I can already tell the difference in acceleration.

So that pretty much it other than a few historic race stickers that I may put on.

I would have to say that after 9.5 years Im done.

Jim

Simply stunning Jim...a true inspiration and it really shows the value of dedication and persistence..
Something many youngsters lack today

Jim, your car is unbelievable. Truly stunning. The craftsmanship, the level of detail, the fit and finish, the overall look is simply beyond all but the elite. Congratulations to you. I wish I could see it in person. That is the way a GT40 should be.

I don't know if I am inspired to do better on mine or deflated that I can't match yours!

Mind blowing work Jim. Please get the car outside and take more photos because I need a new screen-saver and I couldn't think of a better car welcoming me each morning then your stunning GT40.

Thanks gents.

I will take some pics outside Jimmy (tractor boy)

Larry here is a rear shot, I didnt put it up because I want to put a larger roundel on.

'Heck with the roundel's size! I doubt anyone will ever notice it's there anyway!

Man, that car is absolutely stunning! :stunned:

Edit:If you haven't already done so, be sure to take out a "stated value" insurance policy on that car!!! Good lord, man, you don't want some ins co 'adjuster' dictating to you what 9.5 years of your labor and all the parts and pieces of that car are worth should the unthinkable happen. I wouldn't even take it out on the road until that was done.

A truly fabulous effort by a Master Craftsman!

Lets see some pictures / video out in the sunshine!!!

I could have done one just like it but i don't have the skill I am lazy the artist touch or probably the other 10 abilities needed. So show us pics and vids I can lie and say it's mine.

Jim, that is COOOOOOOL!!

Perhaps one day I would like to visit you to pick up a few tricks especially when I get to the difficult part of my build.
