Who reads what in America

1. The Wall Street Journal is read by the people who run the country.

2. The Washington Post is read by people who think they run the country.

3. The New York Times is read by people who think they should run the
country, and who are very good at crossword puzzles.

4. USA Today is read by people who think they ought to run the country
but don't really understand The New York Times. They do, however, like
their statistics shown in pie charts.

5. The Los Angeles Times is read by people who wouldn't mind running
the country, if they could find the time, and if they didn't have to
leave Southern California to do it.

6. The Boston Globe is read by people whose parents used to run the
country and did a poor job of it, thank you very much.

7. The New York Daily News is read by people who aren't too sure who's
running the country and don't really care as long as they can get a seat
on the train.

8. The New York Post is read by people who don't care who is running the
country as long as they do something really scandalous, preferably while
intoxicated.

9. The Miami Herald is read by people who are running another country,
but need the baseball scores.

10. The San Francisco Chronicle is read by people who aren't sure if
there is a country or that anyone is running it; but if so, they oppose
all that they stand for. There are occasional exceptions if the leaders
are handicapped, minority, feminist, atheist dwarfs who also happen to
be illegal aliens from any other country or galaxy, provided of course,
that they are not Republicans.

11. The National Enquirer is read by people trapped in line at the
grocery store.

12. The Tampa Bay Times is read by people who have recently caught a
fish and need something to wrap it in.

Al, that is brilliant.

The Christian Science Monitor is read by people who ARE smart enough to run, the country, but are also smart enough not to take the job.

The New Orleans Times-Picayune is read by people who might be able to run the country, but they have too bad a hangover to do it.

The Virginian-Pilot Ledger Star is read by people who are home on leave from fighting for the country.

The Baltimore Sun is read by people who are under the impression that anything happening in Baltimore actually matters.

The Annapolis Capital is read by people who can't read.

I read newspapers, but I sit at my computer to do it. I have enough stuff to recycle around this house as it is, and newsprint isn't going to be added to the pile.

Fox News Viewers Know Less Than People Who Don't Watch Any News: Study

Fox News viewers are less informed than people who don't watch any news, according to a new poll from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
The poll surveyed New Jersey residents about the uprisings in Egypt and the Middle East, and where they get their news sources. The study, which controlled for demographic factors like education and partisanship, found that "people who watch Fox News are 18-points less likely to know that Egyptians overthrew their government" and "6-points less likely to know that Syrians have not yet overthrown their government" compared to those who watch no news.
Overall, 53% of all respondents knew that Egyptians successfully overthrew Hosni Mubarak and 48% knew that Syrians have yet to overthrow their government.
Dan Cassino, a political science professor at Fairleigh Dickinson, explained in a statement, "Because of the controls for partisanship, we know these results are not just driven by Republicans or other groups being more likely to watch Fox News. Rather, the results show us that there is something about watching Fox News that leads people to do worse on these questions than those who don’t watch any news at all."

This isn't the first study that has found that Fox News viewers more misinformed in comparison to others. Last year, a study from the University of Maryland found that Fox News viewers were more likely to believe false information about politics.

**************

So, Fox News viewers are miss informed and more likely to believe false information about politics.

You don't need a poll to know that.......

Very funny thread...

One good reason to watch Fox News is all the Foxes that are delivering it!
Of course most of them look like they should still be baby sitting or going to cheer-Leader practice...

Hmmm...

I better stop now!
