Lamborghini replicas

Are there any manufacturers of Lamborghini replicas that do a concept of 'here's a frame, body, and parts, you throw it all together' (a-la the different cobra manufacturers), or are they all basically stretch-a-fiero-install-a-bodykit type deals?

I figured the former would have to exist, but all I ever found was the later.

Alex, I am not sure about kit makers but there was a thread about a guy who build a countach in his basement. I can't find the tread but I truly believe the quality of his work is better than original. All his panels where pounded out on a wooden buck. I own one of the older Lambos and ALL of them pre 1989 where nothing more than factory built kit cars. Sorry but true.

There is a company in the uk that make a kit Diablo that is very close (they reckon their body panels fit the original Diablo) to the original.... and it has it's own chassis etc.... here's the link:

There were a few but most have gone underground. You could always buy the body (if you can find one) then build / buy one of the replica chassis' that are available

I have an extra LP400 engine and transaxle I will sell, its actually pretty famous, its one of the 3 twin turbo engines that Bob Wallace designed in the mid 80s, said to make 600HP+. All you need is a car to go with it.
