The sad fact is that there will always be a lunatic fringe attempting to make capital with their filth, just as we had with the Brexit result. The other fact is that 98% of the People are quite decent and have no truck with extremism. Regretfully, the Internet is a useful tool for broadcasting messages of hate, and a reason why education is of vital importance so that the younger generation can disseminate the (mis)information that is routinely presented.

Just like you assume that all protests/agitation is created by Left wingers. Anyway, Trump supporters are too busy sending out pro Nazi/lynching text messages to black students at U of Penn:

https://www.google.com/amp/www.phil..._with__lynching_.html?amphtml=y?client=safari

Is it too early in the AM to put your tin foil hat? Too early to drink the Kool-Aid? It's all a mass conspiracy?

"The messages, violent and racist, came from a person or people USING THE NAME “Daddy Trump.” “Heil Trump” also was written in the app GroupMe, popular with college students and others. Officials said the group, calling itself “MudMen,” appeared to be based in Oklahoma."

Where's the evidence proving the person or persons behind these "messages" is/are Trump supporters?????

You seem to revel in believing in/holding onto/spouting "facts" not in evidence and then coming to a verdict based on those nonexistent facts.

Again, where's the vid showing GOPs/conservatives holding/participating in violent "protests" like the one in Portland.........................?

Larry, you're drinking too much Kool-Aid and your tin foil hat is too tight. So, you're trying to say that there hasn't been a violent act committed at, for example, a Trump rally? Check the internet.

And just because there's no video evidence doesn't of the burning church or the Nazi text messages or other White Power scrawlings taking place in various cities, then I think you're in denial. And just because you point to one protest on one night in Portland is utter nonsense.

And I thought you said you're "done with me." Not going to engage with my posts? I guess when you use the "nuclear option," you go back on your word? Just like the President-elect.

The incidents to which you refer were incited by paid instigators hired by the DNC. Wikileaks exposed all that. Anyway, the topic is violent protests/demonstrations. Nice try at deflection/redirection though.

And just because there's no video evidence doesn't of the burning church(???) or the Nazi text messages or other White Power scrawlings taking place in various cities, then I think you're in denial.

I have no idea at all what you just said. None.

And just because you point to one protest on one night in Portland is utter nonsense.

There's one going on every time we turn around. Portland is just ONE of the latest examples, and you know it. Five people were shot near a Trump election protest in Seattle just this past Wednesday night (11/9). A Trump protester was shot during a Trump protest IN PORTLAND last night. Then you might Google Ferguson, Baltimore, or any of the Occupy Wall Street or WTO riots. Actually, lefties have organized/participated in some whoppers going back to the '60s.

And I thought you said you're "done with me."

Actually, I said, "I see no point in continuing this back-and-forth. So, I'm done with IT..." But, I took a page out of the lefty's handbook and lied. 'Feel better now?<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

...you go back on your word?

See the above

Now, I ask again, where's that link to a video of GOPs/conservatives holding/participating in a violent "protest"/"demonstration"? Show me where/when they've rioted, burned and looted stores, vandalized cars, broken windows, thrown rocks, bottles, bricks and Molotov cocktails at police, blocked surface streets and freeway traffic, desecrated public parks, beaten innocent bystanders, SHOT people, etc., etc., etc.??? You seem to be having difficulty coming up with one.

Conversely, the internet is filled with videos that show lefties doing all that.

Adding Rodknocker to the mix is like the perfect storm. The guy can and will argue ad nauseam about anything from push-ups to politics. Good luck Larry with this one. The election is over for most people.

Yeah, I've noticed. But, you know me, Mikey. 'Always up for a challenge...unless or until I just flat-out lose interest. And have to admit I am darned close to that point right now. :D

Oh, no admonishments from here Larry, just an editorial comment and performing that old Western stunt of "heading them off at the pass", but if the cap fits etc. etc...

In fact everyone's restraint has been admirable..:)

More disinformation by you. Fact check yourself. The Seattle shooting was near the protests, but didn't appear to be related:

Five shot in downtown Seattle near scene of anti-Trump protests | Reuters

The vast majority of protests have been peaceful. They believe their candidate, who is estimated to have won the popular vote by 2,000,000 votes, should be the next President. They feel disenfranchised and they're protesting.

And burning a church, sending Nazi text messages to black students, etc. is a form of terrorism or violence. You might not think so, but that's the perception of the people who are on the receiving end.

And Wikileaks is just GOP propaganda coming from the Julian Asange and the Russian government. All those emails could have been and probably were doctored, to borrow your tin foil hat for the moment.

Keep drinking the Conservative/GOP Kool-Aid. I'm not willing to research every violent protest but certainly the one by Cliven and Ammon Bundy both in NV and OR quickly comes to mind.

They feel disenfranchised because they are not intelligent enough to know why or how our REPULIC's presidents are elected. They are largely spoiled brats and self aggrandized, pseudo-intellectual elite socialist's.

The states elect the president. Get over it. It is not a popularity contest nor will it ever be until your side gets off its azz and successfully changes the 12th amendment.

Now, a bit more brevity

More disinformation by you.

What part of...
...Five people were shot NEAR A TRUMP PROTEST in Seattle just this past Wednesday night (11/9)...
...did you miss?

And I note that you chose to ignore the shooting of the protester participating in an anti-Trump demonstration in Portland a couple days after that...which I also mentioned. (For a number of reasons, I have my doubts that the shooting of those 5 people in Seattle wasn't connected to the Trump protest...but, for now at least, that remains just my belief.)

And burning a church, sending Nazi text messages to black students, etc. is a form of terrorism or violence.

Again - where's the e-v-i-d-e-n-c-e conservatives / Trump supporters did any of that? You're just declaring that's the case. And, AGAIN: Authorities have stated there are no suspects in, NOR is there any surveillance video of the church incident...NOR is there currently any proof of who did the other stuff of which I'm aware. So, how is it you know who did all that? I'm sure authorities would appreciate your coming forward with whatever evidence/PROOF you have in your possession.

And Wikileaks is just GOP propaganda coming from the Julian Asange and the Russian government.

Again - where's the evidence supporting your charges? As things stand right now that's nothing more than your opinion.

All those emails could have been and probably were doctored...

Then why didn't/hasn't (for example) the Clinton campaign or Billary herself offered proof of that? You know, by releasing her 'copies' of the emails you suggest may have been "doctored". Oh...I forgot...they're probably amongst of the 33K emails she ordered wiped from her server "with a cloth or something"...so, no can do.

To my knowledge the FBI hasn't been of the opinion 'Wiki' or anyone else "doctored" any of the leaked emails.

I'm not willing to research every violent protest...

I can't blame you. As many of them as there are, you'd be at it until you reached retirement age. And there's not one conservative-based protest vid of that type to be found.

...certainly the one by Cliven and Ammon Bundy both in NV and OR quickly comes to mind.<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

It didn't "quickly (come) to mind" given the fact it's taken a couple days for you to come up with it.

Anyway - apples and ox carts. Nice try...but not anywhere close to being what we're 'discussing'. The Bundy 'standoff' was a 'stand alone' incident which was the result of a very contentious, decades-long dispute between the Bundy family and the government. No other entities were directly involved. No other entities were randomly 'targeted'. It wasn't organized or executed by anyone OTHER THAN the Bundy family and a few friends. It occurred way out in the 'tulies', far away from the general public. No uninvolved 'civilian' individuals (or their property) were even put at risk, let alone suffered injury/damage. 'Faaaaaaaaaaar different situation all the way around from violent protests/riots happening on downtown city streets...which is the topic at hand. If you can't see the diff, it's because you choose not to.

So, I ask again, where's that link to a video of a GOP/conservative MOB, "holding/participating in a violent "protest"/"demonstration"? 'Just couldn't resist posting this. It belongs on the "Jokes" thread...but, it bears on the topic currently at hand. Fearless leader will decide if it stays. 'No biggie either way:

News Update from Canada

The flood of Trump-fearing American liberals sneaking across the border into Canada has intensified in the past week. The Republican presidential campaign is prompting an exodus among left-leaning Americans who fear they'll soon be required to hunt, pray, pay taxes, and live according to the Constitution.

Canadian border residents say it's not uncommon to see dozens of sociology professors, liberal arts majors, global-warming activists, and "green" energy proponents crossing their fields at night.

"I went out to milk the cows the other day, and there was a Hollywood producer huddled in the barn," said southern Manitoba farmer Red Greenfield, whose acreage borders North Dakota. "He was cold, exhausted and hungry, and begged me for a latte and some free-range chicken. When I said I didn't have any, he left before I even got a chance to show him my screenplay, eh?"

In an effort to stop the illegal aliens, Greenfield erected higher fences, but the liberals scaled them. He then installed loudspeakers that blared Rush Limbaugh across the fields, but they just stuck their fingers in their ears and kept coming. Officials are particularly concerned about smugglers who meet liberals just south of the border, pack them into electric cars, and drive them across the border, where they are simply left to fend for themselves after the battery dies.

"A lot of these people are not prepared for our rugged conditions," an Alberta border patrolman said. "I found one carload without a single bottle of Perrier water, or any gemelli with shrimp and arugula. All they had was a nice little Napa Valley cabernet and some kale chips. When liberals are caught, they're sent back across the border, often wailing that they fear persecution from Trump high-hairers."

Rumors are circulating about plans to build re-education camps where liberals will be forced to drink domestic beer, study the Constitution, and find jobs that actually contribute to the economy.

In recent days, liberals have turned to ingenious ways of crossing the border. Some have been disguised as senior citizens taking a bus trip to buy cheap Canadian prescription drugs. After catching a half-dozen young vegans in blue-hair wigs and polyester pantsuits, Canadian immigration authorities began stopping buses and quizzing the supposed senior citizens about Perry Como and Rosemary Clooney to prove that they were alive in the '50s.

"If they can't identify the accordion player on The Lawrence Welk Show, we become very suspicious," an official said.

Canadian citizens have complained that the illegal immigrants are creating an organic-broccoli shortage, are buying up all the Barbara Streisand CD's, and are overloading the internet while downloading jazzercise apps to their cell phones.

"I really feel sorry for American liberals, but the Canadian economy just can't support them," an Ottawa resident said. "After all, how many art-history majors does one country need?"

Scott,

In 2008 and 2012 Barak Obama was democratically elected by the states as president. Many on this forum did not "get over it" or accept it. In fact they spent 8 years not getting over it quite vocally on here.

So did this make them " not intelligent enough to know why or how our REPULIC's presidents are elected", and very good at not practicing what they preach.

Shame it had to come from an actor and in my opinion sentiments that could equally be applied to my country at present, Before anyone tries to twist it, "to make a trap for fools" I am talking about the right for peaceful demonstration.

"America isn't easy. America is advanced citizenship. You've gotta want it bad, 'cause it's gonna put up a fight. It's gonna say, "You want free speech? Let's see you acknowledge a man whose words make your blood boil, who's standing center stage and advocating at the top of his lungs that which you would spend a lifetime opposing at the top of yours." You want to claim this land as the land of the free? Then the symbol of your country cannot just be a flag. The symbol also has to be one of its citizens exercising his right to burn that flag in protest. Now show me that, defend that, celebrate that in your classrooms.

Then you can stand up and sing about the land of the free."

...and yet they didn't take to the streets around the country for days after the election and riot, commit arson, vandalized cars, break windows, throw rocks, bottles, etc, at police, block surface streets and freeway traffic, beat innocent bystanders, or SHOOT people because Obama had been elected, did they. No. They didn't...and that graphically illustrates one of the hardcore differences between how the left and right 'operate' here in the U.S.

When Obama came in 2008 along with a democratic fillibuster-proof congress I knew my very career was threatened. I spent 14 years training for this particular career and was 31 before I began practicing medicine independently. 9 years into practice along comes a President who wants the federal govt to take over healthcare and gave us the 2000+ page Affordable Care Act (ironic name because there's almost nothing in it that improves affordability, as evidence by the 25-50% premium increases this year). One of the fecaliths in the Act was put in there by the American Hospital Association (much of the law was written by special interests such as AHA and the insurance companies, which is why most of Congress really had no idea what was in it. According to Nancy Pelosi, it was necessary to pass it to find out what was in it) was a clause that outlawed physician ownership of hospitals. Now, a hospital can own physicians, and even a health insurance company can own a hospital and even physicians. But physicans can't own a hospital, and this is in spite of the Dept of Health and Human Services determining that MD owned hospitals provide higher quality care, do not cherry pick their patients, have higher patient satisfaction and come in at lower cost. But they're now banned. I have experienced a dramatic increase in burdensome government regulation which has dramatically increased my costs. All the while, reimbursement from medicare and medicaid is roughly the same as 20 years ago.

So what did I do on the morning of Nov 10, 2008? I got up and went to work..........
