Miami Active Power Build

Hi Steve, waiting for my roller delivery hopefully sometime next month. 3 inch flares are being fitted on the shell. Today I should be receiving the adapter plate, clutch, and stater from Kennedy Engineering. The engine and tranny are basically ready to go. How is your build going??

Slowly but surely.

Chris had sent me the wrong steering rack and I’m waiting on a new one. Apparently they’re back ordered.

New Hoosiers and American Racing wheels. Pedals installed and put the battery box back in. I was going to move it but after some reading, the passenger floor is a good spot.

I should probably start a build thread.

Here are some pix.

Steve you are doing an awesome job, looks great. I like the fabrication and radiator setup. Did you custom make the aluminum panels? What engine and tranny will you be using?

Thanks George.

The side panels came from Chris, I made the mounts and fabricated and riveted the bottom panel.

I’m going to use a coyote engine and a Porsche 996 transaxle.

Update, last week the powder coated chassis was completed and sent back to the shop. The fun part of putting it together has started by properly fitting the panels. The engine and tranny have been united and are home waiting for installation.

Here she is ready for transport Next Saturday. Chris and his team delivered what was promised and worked with me on all the details. Having looked at many building forums before buying, the common complaint and headache was and is body fitment. This was one of the reasons I bought from Chris. They did an outstanding job molding those 3 inch flares.

Rob, I went with the Borla Induction setup on the crate Boss 302. The true test will be when the engine is in and started. I also purchased the small diameter MSD distributor and ignition A6 box from them.

Thanks George,
I had the FAST EZ EFI on my coupe(first generation). I ended up selling it and going back to a carb. My HP and cam were a little too aggressive for
the programming. It was a simple plug and play, and the support was great.

George, great to see your car ready for shipping, love the look with the wide body.

How did you get that trans so clean? Is it new?
Thank you Steve, I used an aluminum paste polish and a rag on the tranny. Before polishing it I used my pressure cleaner to remove most of the dirt and stains.

Rob, my crate Boss 302 is not very aggressive and equipped with a mild cam. I hoping it will work and do agree with Borlas excellent customer service. Thank you for sharing.
