Along the lines of Keiths "Checking if you are awake" but, in my case, requiring no mental skills what so ever, here is the next challenge. Should you choose to accept it, there is no prize. Well, maybe a sarcastic smilie...

Name that tune:

A-bee-bow-bow-bow-buppa-b-bow-bow

Clue: blue gay.......................

Genre: you need to be old - before 'Genre' was invented

Depends what you consider old :) ....

I'm going for "The Bird Is The Word"....

Or should I have had my Weetabix this morning ? :)

Graham.

several weetabix - which are quite nice soaked with a bit of apple juice first then with greek yoghurt and fruit stirred in.
The "Bird is the word" from the Trashmen or the Rivingtons? Anyway the answer is "non".

My wife just told me all you have to do is google it and it will then come up with the answer. Don't you just hate smart blondes.
I'll make the next one almost impossible........

"Surfin' Bird" is a song performed by the American surf rock band The Trashmen, which reached #4 on the Billboard Hot 100.[1] It is a combination of two R&B hits by The Rivingtons, "Papa-Oom-Mow-Mow" and "The Bird's the Word"[2] and was released in 1963.

The vast and apparently limitless spectrum of knowledge and topics on this forum is absolutely mind boggling. I am truly amazed...awed 'eee-vun' :o)

Morse code.
usually followed with :

dah dah dah
dit dit dah dit
dit dit dah dit

dit dah dit dah dit.

What was the last symbol though?

End of message was not the title I was thinking of.

The singer of the song once came in ahead of Dylan in a talent show and Bernie Taupin was partially inspired by one of his songs for Rocket Man.

My morse speeds were 30 wpm for P/L and 40wpm for code / foreign language using a typewriter.

Thanks Daniel.
Somewhat different.
As an aside, no more morse code in the military for about the last ten years - nobody is taught it any more. There was still a morse key in the Nimrod MR2 the last time I flew in one but it was redundant. It seems the only use for Morse now is the identification codes transmitted on Navigation aids in civil aviation but I'm not sure if it's still part of the exam for would be pilots.
